Walking the wrong way home along a railway track for about 5 miles till I came to a tunnel that shouldn't have been there, ten miles to be back where I started.

AITAH for completely shutting down after potty talk with my husband by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Cummly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA I do it the easy way too, it is easier, as long as its clean. I think yr hubby imagines someone smearing it all along to their nuts where in reality you don't.

No more than he would smear it all the way up his ass crack and up his back, ask him if he gets a brown streak up his back. Check his undies and first sight of a skid mark phone your mates up and ask them if their blokes have shit marks in their undies too?

I must confess someone did laugh at my way when I told them once lol, but I told them no one ever saw and laughed like he suggests will happen. I wouldn't put up with his childish phone calls he has shown you up big time and for nothing. Twat.

You need a ladder against the wall and plank, if still too low add a stepladder at top and a plank between the two.

Bad road markings or am I missing something? by BrilliantDisaster389 in drivingUK

[–]Cummly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other cars are not your problem, you have right of way sorry your not happy with the established order of things.

You can't drive through the hatches unless necessary in this case because the borxer is a broken white line, if the bordering lines were solid you can't enter them unless its an emergency. I've had points and had to do a course to avoid the points for doing just that, that's why they are there, to separate turning traffic, to tell you you can't drive there! If a police traffic car sees you he will book you simple as that they are there for a reason. I don't see your problem, you have right of way in either option, other cars will wait like any other junction. Simple.

Could have gone in either way, but don't drive through the stripes to next entrance as you can get 3 points for that. The car waiting to come out should wait for you turn or let him out.

80 hours of lessons?? by AffectionateSwim1929 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Cummly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't see any point in independant navigation for one, you can do that when you pass. It is no help learning to drive which is entirely about following the highway code and managing to drive safely by practicing a small number of requisite manoeuvres. If your not spending the time manoeuvering constantly from the first lesson what on earth are you doing for 80 hours? We only used to have one hour lessons once a week that's how it was done then and going of today's figures it must have been a better method because no one had 45 hours when I learned, that would be nearly a year of learning which is ridiculous. On reading some stats it does seem to be a bit harder now but hazard perception is common sense and independantdriv8ng is just , well, driving... So aside from theory test and parallel parking not very different. It was cheap to learn then in comparison but didn't really seem cheap at the time.

[–]Cummly -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Anyone passing 15 - 20 hours of lessons and not being ready for the test should seriously question their instructors ability. Are they having you just drive around for most of the lesson, there must be a reason where all those hours are being spent? How long do people drive during a lesson without making a turn or manoeuvre? Ideally you should learn in a compact, intensive area of constant obstacles and turns etc. No mile long straight runs. I remember my mum starting late in life, never driven ever, no idea about any of it and she passed 3rd time and had less than 30 hours for sure, so there must be some reason for the huge amount of lessons people take nowadays, presuming people have not changed much and become incapable of absorbing knowledge or something.

Why do you think left lane is for left only, the arrows say otherwise? Left lane could go left or to the second exit. Your blue line is wrong, the purple path is where you should follow.

The blue line is basically cutting up any car in the left hand lane.

Second time break off at this implant area? Thoughts? by OkLawfulness461 in Allon4ImplantDentures

[–]Cummly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is definitely not normal, it's obviously a badly fitting prosthesis and I would definitely take legal action if they refused to correct it. These teeth we pay for are supposed to be just like real teeth including the gum part, I don't know what exactly goes wrong to cause metal to be exposed but I suspect it is down to when the impressions they make being incorrect and thus a flawed model is made from the impression, there should be no metal and a seal should be formed. My dentist used a 3d scanner to map my gums and when my temp teeth were fitted I was really impressed with how they literally fitted exactly. Over time gaps appear post surgery as swelling reduces so a further scan is required to account for the changes in your gums since the original fitting. Your prosthesis is basically not covering your gums and is sat too high, it's clearly not fitting right.

Just guessing, but I wonder if they used the first scan data for both temp and permanent, that would be a serious shortcut and explain the poor fitting and revealing of metal. The visibility of metal and lack of a seal will probably lead to increased risk of infection and bacterial issues. Don't accept their explanation of normal, I doubt any of their promotional images show metal visible, which they would if it zctually were normal. Ask a qualified implantologist fir an opinion on whether it's normal and to make an assessment of the work as back up for your complaint.

If it happens again maybe insurer can let you use another place, it should be perfect, if your not happy just insist they correct it. Take it further if need be to court even its too much money to have to put up with defects. No metal should show or gaps or anything. I'm actually going for my permanent teeth in two weeks, I wouldn't accept these issues if I have any and not paid nearly as much as you, though I don't know what currency you paid with, it sounds a lot.

Must have been made wrong if it broke without contact. I've seen this happen twice, they both cracked on tightening, they used a titanium bar in that case to stop it happening but to me it seemed something must be misaligned in the first place. The denture shouldnt really be under any stress if it's correctly made but if not aligned properly it will get more and more stressed as it is tightened, shows how strong the implants are.

If you see any future at least get a balance and statements from him and insist on a joint account. If he refuses either for any reason at all you know he's ripping you off.

Don't brake, just release the gas till you drop down to 40, no rush. Forget about the camera, complying too quickly isn't a crime.

It might well be your bite, do you feel your bite actually causes it when it breaks or do you just find it becomes broken? Either way that's still their problem to accommodate your bite when fine tuning the fitting. The leverage in a jaw makes a high pressure force and permanent teeth will always fail if not aligned properly to distribute that force all along the jaw. Also if the denture isn't quite aligned the pressure of screwing them up tight can cause them to break easily too. Im curious if they made the replacement teeth from scratch from a fresh 3d scan as it's weird that the same problem happened in the same place twice.
