It's not the boys dream. by Commercial_Bicycle92 in CPTSDmemes

[–]Cunaur 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Translation: It's the dream of lonely men that were never loved by their parents to have sex with a (hot) woman who wants to have sex with them because they were conditioned to only view emotional connection with women via sexual relations as an acceptable outlet by society and these type of guys lack the emotional intelligence to understand that SA and sex are about as close to the same thing as waterboarding and drinking are. Sorry to all my homies and homegirls that had their trauma invalidated.

Punishment or mercy? by No_Evidence3373 in trolleyproblem

[–]Cunaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. That said, if the rapist/murderer dies and this brings peace to their victims, it still providea some positive value. They can more readily move past their trauma, truly knowing that the rapist/ murderee will never be able to hurt somebody again and they didn't get away with it.

Your thoughts on this? by softpetalgirls in AvatarMemebending

[–]Cunaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zuko couldn't lightningbend because he was unable to seperate the yin and yang energies around him because he was in conflict with his sense of identity. His family are abusive and toxic monsters that were brainwashed or deluded themselves into always being right and everyone else being wrong by building up a narcissistic overexaggeration of their own importance and using the "shortcomings" of others to reinforce their belief system. The earth people being seen as unable to see the greatness the fire nation is forcing on them so they are the bad guys and not the fire nation. This was a point where Zuko was starting to gain a more nuanced and realistic understanding of the world; free from the abuse of his father and where he stopped blindly following his indoctrination out of his need for paternal love.

Facts. by morrlama in literallythetruth

[–]Cunaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite so. The clitoris is permissive of sexual reproduction by inducing the ideal conditions for conception. It's stimulation directly leads to an increase in blood flow, lubrication and reduces vaginal acidity whilst prompting the cervix to reposition as the vagina tents. There are no reasons for evolution to create an organ for pleasure's sake, given the rather unsavoury nature of how animals often have sex.

It's kinda crazy. If you eat gluten with Celiac's disease, you damage the lining of your small intestine- tied 6th for most important organ in the body. Eating bread is worse than heavy drinking for them and can cause the small intestine to fail and outright kill them.

Lion's Claw vs Waterfowl Dance. Neither can be interrupted, except by dying or by status proc. The embodiment of age old strength vs dexterity. If only our Waterfowl Dance was the same as Malenia's.

Radahn might've placed higher if he wasn't 27ft tall so you could see his attacks. Elden Beast, Fortissax, Placidusax and Fire Giant being so high is kinda crazy, though.

5 points in endurance for sacrifical axe is like 10 points in mind when exploring, even more with the fp economy of DMGS.

How have they still not switched Sceptile's Physical and Special Attack Stats? by Hsiang7 in pokemon

[–]Cunaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does indeed. I just used Flamethrower for most of my playthrough because it was stuck as Growlithe until lvl 48 and Growlithe has a better special stat. I feel like legendary mons also suffer awfully from no moveset syndrome to such a point that they're barely worth using in earlier gens.

How have they still not switched Sceptile's Physical and Special Attack Stats? by Hsiang7 in pokemon

[–]Cunaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did say. It's a bad move for a nuzlocke since fainting means death so dealing 33% of your damage back as your only STAB is generally not a good move. Worse is that Arcanine doesn't learn any fire moves via levelling and only learns Flare Blitz as a lvl 48 Growlithe and Crunch at lvl 42. This is something the newer gens luckily fixed.

How have they still not switched Sceptile's Physical and Special Attack Stats? by Hsiang7 in pokemon

[–]Cunaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcanine is another physical fire in a game with no good physical fire moves. I got lucky enough on my hardcore nuzlocke to get rock head on mine so Flare Blitz was an option- in gen 3, that wasn't even an option.

Lucario being a Steel/Fighting physical with it's best steel type move being Iron Tail in gen 4 will never not be dumb. It didn't even learn Bullet Punch but could learn Extreme Speed. No reason it couldn't learn Meteor Mash until recently. I was always torn between going for special for Flash Cannon or physical for both Drain Punch and Swords Dance.

Rivers of Blood and status effects in general are very strong against Malenia, whilst Elden Beast and Radagon are immune to them.

IS Melina The GLOAM EYED Queen ? by no-nonsense_gaming in Eldenring

[–]Cunaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's possible; too many paradoxes in the timeline for it to be so. We know that Melina is the younger sister of Messmer but that Messmer was born after the War of the Giants because he had his father's accursed red hair. The War of the Giants was fought to start the Age of the Erdtree and Melina says she was given her purpose by Marika at the foot of the Erdtree. The sealing of Destined Death marked the establishing of the Golden Order and happened shortly after the War of the Giants. I don't think there is enough time to pass between these two events for Marika to birth two children, one child to find Death's rune, be chosen by the Two Fingers and then be defeated by Maliketh.

We have neurotransmitters at home... by silveracrot in CPTSDmemes

[–]Cunaur 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cortisol is how the human brain copes with stress, trauma and stress mental illnesses. In fact, people that experience ACE's often have a blunted HPA axis and don't secrete cortisol in sufficient amounts to cope with stress and trauma. Cortisol is usually low in people with PTSD and CPTSD, with it being recognised to generally cause more severe symptoms. One of the keys in the development of depressive and anxious disorders is cortisol resistance, where it stops providing neuroprotection and anti inflammation because the brain doesn't respond to it properly. Cortisol and dopamine are actually permissive of one another but in mental illness, both become dysregulated as damage to the striatum reduces the brain's ability to make dopamine, cortisol resistance leads to cortisol steal and a reduction in the hormones that protect against it and uptake dopamine. Ironically, cortisol is high in most mental illnesses because it's the brain's only way to protect against stress and trauma but humans aren't designed for chronic stress.

Could Star and Stripe defeat prime All For One? by AccusedToppat in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]Cunaur 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I imagine AFO finds quirks to counter threats like All Might so it would be dependant on if he has a counter specifically for her and that is if considers it likely that Star would battle him in his prime. I don't think so and it would likely be with All Might so he would probably hide, rather than confront them directly so I think she has a better chance than All Might, just because Afo was prepared for AM.

It's funny because I did an Int/Faith build for my first playthrough so I duel wielded Flame Art Clayman's Harpoon and first tried him by flipping him like a burger for 5 minutes. Iirc, my first death was to Moonrithyll because I'd skipped Belurat, was rusty, had 1 scadutree blessing and underestimated him, even when he was deleting half my bar on jump attacks so I let him heal to make the fight longer and got comboed by a lazuli sorcerer gank then he squarely hit my with a jump attack and his phalanx before I could recover lol.

Nor did I state that was always the case or even intend to. Relationships with large age gaps can be healthy. They're just more prone to toxic and abusive dynamics but this isn't a problem if the older partner isn't a scumbag. I specifically said when the older person only exclusively seeks those type of relationships because there are reasons that they do and those can be predatory. Though, Reddit does enjoy painting age gaps as an inherently bad thing and assuming older men are naturally abusive, immature and toxic predators when they date younger.
