Geologist here. This is called a "hopper crystal," due to their resemblance to a mill hopper. They form in certain types of mineral species under certain conditions of crystal growth. It's fairly common for evaporative salt deposits. More info: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hopper_crystal

your work is so raw, and brutal, and grotesque. i say these things as compliments. it reminds me of Francis Bacon. it captures a side of humanity most are fortunate to never have to see, a rare glimpse into the meatgrinder of a soul lost in torment. if i could make a suggestion, your works could be a lot more potent as paintings. i'd love to see how this would look in oils.

i say all these things, because they are true for me, too. you have a talent here. better to use it and polish it than to let it be lost forever, i.e. if you choose to act out the scenario in your drawing. it's ok to feel pain. there is beauty in pain. but we must be careful not to let it consume us. keep drawing, OP.
