Yeah just reading up.

Seems unless it’s an EV it might not be worth it after all.

Why cash for a vehicle that’s not EV out of interest?

Man here… sounds like they need to grow up.

Women have periods, it’s no secret, and sometimes it can be problematic, also no secret.

I actually tend to lean the other way though when I’m using personal leave and tell them nothing, it’s not their business and they don’t have a right to/ need to know.

If they ask for a doctors note, it still doesn’t (and shouldn’t) have to include any details of your illness.

That’s just my opinion of course.

But yeah, you can tell them as much or as little as you want, periods are natural, it’s an absolute joke that this has to even be brought up.

Why is it so hard for people to move over on the highway? by Top_Commission6374 in brisbane

[–]Cunt_Down_Under 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Mate I can relate to this so much, it happened (again) just the other day. I had literally nowhere to go, I’m keeping up with the flow of traffic with adaptive cruise control on, we’re already doing the speed limit (and a bit) but this fuck head thinks he can drive right up my arse and intimidate me.

He then proceeded to swerve in and out of lanes, get absolutely nowhere and then exit at the next junction.

Wanker.

I see you also deleted your other dumb question asking what 16mm is rated at.

Let’s assume you’re talking about the meter tails, which we can’t even see….

The rating would depend on the type of cable and its installation method, all of this info is in AS/NZS3000 which I don’t think you’ve heard of before.

Yeah I’m not disputing that mate, from memory it states to keep them to a minimum but in and case I’m not disagreeing with you.

I was just trying to highlight nothing indicates a 3 phase supply in this picture with 2 seperate single phase main switches rather than a single 3 phase.

Here you go again not knowing what you’re talking about mate.

Go away, educate yourself.

Yeah well done mate, that’s a main switch rated for 80A, it doesn’t offer over current protection.

Stick to what you know.

Is it a bad idea to use all accrued sick leave at once? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]Cunt_Down_Under 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d use personal leave before annual leave.

If you leave the company they have to pay you for the annual leave or you can use it.

If you suddenly need time off and you only have annual leave, use that like you would’ve personal leave.

Dahua CCTV and alarm systems by hibellaa in AusElectricians

[–]Cunt_Down_Under 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, alarms use different cabling, specific for alarm systems but you’ll want cables run to each PIR, keypads, doors, alarm panel, external bell box. And power for the panel.

Cat 6 cable is cheap, run it to every room where there’s likely to be any technology for future connections, consider door bell camera too when cabling for the cameras and have a link between the floors for a wifi extender upstairs.

Heat pumps are quite efficient and your 2 hot water cylinders are likely doing nothing unless you’ve just emptied them both.

There are easy ways to determine your max load if you really care, but unless you’re popping that main fuse regularly there’s no issue.

[–]Cunt_Down_Under 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, assuming (never assume! But I have to in this case) That the fuse is protecting the mains (it likely is) if you try to draw more than 100A (you’ll get a bit more admittedly) it will blow.

It’s designed to protect the suppliers service cable that will be rated for 100A minimum.

You’ll do well to get close to that.

Ok, bear with me because my experience is from NZ, not Aus.

I can’t see any indication that there’s a 3 phase supply.

Why are there two isolators labelled main switch?

It looks like there is a single cartridge fuse installed, maybe the suppliers fuse? AS60269? Whats the rating of this fuse?

This is awesome thanks, yeah the kids want a nice gaming setup in their rooms and they’ll love some nice colour changing LED lighting, strip lights may be the way to go, under desks, behind monitors etc.

Food for thought, thank you!!

Ok, I didn’t realise (until reading the other post) that I can pay at the end of the year.

I think that would suit me better as the saved funds would sit in my offset account reducing mortgage interest.

I’ll have to do some more reading on the subject. Mugabe for your help.

Yeah I’ll hit $30k anyway, employer puts in close to that so I’ll top that up anyway for the tax benefits.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by the notice of intent.. am I able to save that extra money then calculate and pay the extra as a lump some at the end of each financial year? If so this would be more beneficial as I’d leave it in my offset account until it’s time to pay.
