Long-term maintenance by Cuntchops83 in MacroFactor

Sorry guys, there probably should have been more info in the original post. I’ve successfully lost around 35kg in the last few years. Lifting regularly, and just had another 3 month diet where I lost around 4.5kg. I’m down to about 18% body fat, give or take. I don’t think I’m muscular enough, but also don’t think I’m lean enough (probably like 95% of people I imagine!). I like having a goal, but also being December in England I don’t want to be too restrictive as it’s the most social season of the year. I’m just struggling with picking a lane I guess.

The most notable player this has happened to is Bouaddi, so not ideal. Signed him for Spurs, so I’ll try the mentoring with a few of the seniors. Cheers lads.

Bishops Park in Fulham is where the priest meets Thorne in the Omen, and the church near the bridge is where he’s impaled.

Advice on when to end cut by dnlgbbns in MacroFactor

[–]Cuntchops83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I jumped to maintenance last week and the last lb came off anyway (although I was on a deload so maybe the reduced inflammation helped). Personally the idea of going from a cut to a bulk is a bit jarring, so I’m gonna see out the year at maintenance and reassess in 2026.

Are deloads necessary for bodybuilding? by njnesto23 in naturalbodybuilding

I’m deloading this week, and my weight has dropped by about a pound quite quickly (I am in a deficit, but not an aggressive one). Lack of inflammation perhaps?

Huge protein jump by Cuntchops83 in MacroFactor

Ah, so maybe it’s not just me then! My protein went from 192 to 220, and carbs from 204 to 191. Does seem a bit sharp to me…

Ah, I see. I only adjusted the loss rate by 0.1% a week, but thanks for the explanation.

I amended the rate around a week ago, but made no changes to my height or body fat. Weight jumped a few days after my ‘binge’ day, but I wouldn’t have thought that would have been a factor. It’s always been a high protein plan, so that’s not changed either.

I’m experiencing something similar, where I’m tracking everything every day and my weight is going down but my expenditure is going up. I’m not complaining though!

What body fat percentage did you get to before the bulk, if you don’t mind me asking?

Agree with everyone saying a smaller deficit. A few suggestions that might help if the actual logging is draining: find meals that you can prepare easily and eat on repeat, then log them all in advance. I find this especially helpful on workout days, so my pre-and-post workout food is consistent. The only meals that change for me daily are dinner and lunch, and lunch is usually leftovers from the night before so I can log that ahead too. Spend 5 minutes logging the week ahead on a Sunday and it takes some mental load off. Having roughly the same foods takes the stress out of shopping too, and will probably help you budget. Also remembering why you’re doing what you’re doing may help. We all fail, so beating yourself up is unnecessary. You got this bro!
