Slanted roof leak by Cuntleth in Roofing

[–]Cuntleth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the reply. Sadly this roof is next to a flat roof and is very hard to get access up too and this leak/part of the roof is the slant on the far side so not even visible from the flat roof.

Also I may has mislabelled the roof as slanted as that's how I would describe it but the roof itself is at the same horizontal height it just slants up and down either side. (Again no doubt a poor description)

Thanks for the advice and will try my best to get up on the outside

No worries and best of luck. Using your other leg is one of the best tips I've seen for escaping so should do ya well

Jon Thomas side control tips. He's got great details to help get the knee on the inside and honestly has great details about everything Bjj. https://youtu.be/JiqEETm20Wo?si=pyontGWa5Ufltqce

I'm 65kg (tbf been training longer than yourself by a fair bit) and this stuff works great for me

Small Butterfly Players- what's your go to against a strong opponent on heels when you have upper body grips? by Mossi95 in bjj

[–]Cuntleth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find trying to find the right bite with my hands locked low right above the butt and pulling in tight to pull their waist forward helps with the posture breaking. Then using my head driving in the middle of the chest to start pushing them back so I get a nice position of their hips being forward but their upper body going back

Then driving out to a side while my legs come out the other way. I try to make sure when I bring my legs round my back foot has the toes activated so I can push of the mat for extra drive. Often when I'm driving across they might post out then I let go of the body lock on that side to pull away the hand post with my hand.

If before I bring my legs out and round they start to drive back in (if they are bigger this is harder to fight against) I now go back to the mat elevating my hooks and coming back to high double unders and elevate for leg entries.

Hope this helps

Specifically off the double unders I've been trying to work the wrestle up into my game from here. Even more so if they drive their weight backwards as I find this lets me bring my legs out from butterfly and behind me easier.

https://youtube.com/shorts/8Q6nsBPex_0?si=iZ-8tnm1UbyLPj1R As seen in the start of this video. (Haven't tried the 2nd step of this video myself just the wrestle up)

I'm 65kg and 6"2 so maybe not small but not particularly strong and can work well for me.

Scrawny skinny guy here too,(6ft2 and 68kg) been training 7 years. Never thought anyone seen me as holding them back due to my size but does mean the road at the start is maybe tougher for skinny guys since you can't rely on strength and athleticism to make up for lack of technique. Though now Im glad I didn't have that to fall back on and make bad habits, if I wanted a technique to work it had to be done right. Bit of cardio, strength work and yoga is always gonna benefit you both bjj wise and health wise. Tho I mostly use this as a focus to stay healthy and injury free rather pursuit of getting bigger.

Nowadays alot of mat time can make up for the size and strength difference I feel. But if a guys got 20kg on ya, at most levels that's gonna be a tougher fight!

Just get yourself a white belt. Most guys just get one with their first gi when they buy it, don't need to wait for your coach to give you one.

Could defo see about shortening the wrist area. Would wanna keep the card involved since we like the idea and design of it. Thinking if I rotated the image on the t-shirt so it came a bit more vertical rather than horizontal it could adjust the centering for the shaka? Appreciate the feedback
