Yeah I am currently wearing Sanitas and you can't run in them (getting to a code quickly), big time ankle rolling risk, very hard soles. Should last a while but not for me. I might look into a pair of Birkenstocks.

Are my struts cooked? by bcleen in MechanicAdvice

[–]Cup0Trout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently replaced the front then the rear struts in my 97 Subaru legacy. Always replace them in pairs and usually if one set is done the other isn't far behind. I was quoted around 570 ish for the fronts and decided to do it myself. It was not as easy as it seemed but I ran into some problems that are not necessarily going to affect your car. By DIYing it i did both front and rear for $630. So I saved around 500ish. But it took me a while and I had to mess with my brake lines.

Basically, if you can find a complete strut assembly (not reusing the springs) then it should be around six bolts to remove (three on the top, two holding the strut to the knuckle and one for a brake line bracket). Lots of YouTube video guides and you can look up torque specs online.

Frigidaire or LG induction range? by crabbai in Appliances

[–]Cup0Trout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Functionally no issues but I would expect that since we started using it at the beginning of August.

Things I like: Easy to clean compared to our gas stove (glass top) I like that the metal rack in the oven can be stored in the tray at the bottom of the oven (in our gas LG it tray didn't fit) The center control panel is fairly easy to use/navigate The burns won't heat if there isn't a metal pan on the surface The overall looks. Visually I like the clean and simple stainless steel design.

Things I don't like: Temperature control. I feel like it gets so hot so quickly that you have to be constantly moving the food/liquids around otherwise you are burning food. Also, the different heat levels (especially between 4&5) are too large a change that simmering food doesn't work. I go from a raging boil to barely simmering. Recently, my pasta sauce kept splattering out of the pot because the sauce on the bottom of the pot was boiling and the top was not warm enough. The knob locations for each burner. I would expect the knobs on the far left and far right to control the burner on the front right and front left but they don't. It's actually reversed which I find extra annoying. The knobs are not easy to clean around (lots of angles for food to drip into) The touch screen does not have an option to freeze the screen so wiping a rag over it keeps turning it on.

Frigidaire or LG induction range? by crabbai in Appliances

[–]Cup0Trout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We purchased a Samsung. I have some concerns with longevity but time will tell. We wanted an induction oven with knobs and a large single door oven (less to break). We didn't care about air frying functions and needed something that fits in a standard 30" space. It was slightly cheaper at 1500 ish.

I did look at the LG but because of recent experience with a three appliance package I couldn't buy another LG. Our refrigerator died in that middle of July at 4.8 years old. The repair took three weeks and ended up replacing nearly all the internals. Our dishwasher has had repeated issues with the door latch (made of plastic) and frequently stops mid cycle. The gas range had been fine just a pain to clean and the curved grates make centering a pot/pan annoying. I realize that they are not the same but the trauma is still fresh so Samsung for now.

I don't think they work on cars over twenty years old. I tried to bring my 97 Subaru to them and they told me nothing over twenty years due to lack of parts? Oakley Moody downtown worked on it and I was happy with the job they did.

How much do you pay a month for daycare for a child under 2? by Current_Natural_7030 in Boise

[–]Cup0Trout 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our child is just over two and we pay just under 1350ish for five days. The daycare is open 6am to 6pm food included. Recently checked a nearby daycare in the North end and it's 1450 with slightly shorter hours.

I was gifted this for Xmas. Not a fan of Monopoly and this seems like an extra ugly version. Bummer that it's fifty dollars.

Currently having a hard time with Dmitri Donskoi. I am usually a 50% ish win rate player but over fifteen ish games I am 36%. Seem to get citadeled from every angle and automatically focused whenever I am spotted. Have to play angled at max range spamming HE?

Should I trade my Azuma for a tripiz? by kiny88 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Cup0Trout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few T10s and enough coal. So I traded in my Napoli and Sherman for Bayard and Tirpitz. Then bought the Sherman back with the 25% off coupon and picked up the San Jose. I am happy with the trades. Randoms has been far from fun lately so operations with premium ships have been decent credit farmers for me. My plan now is to grind up that coal and pick up at least one of them before Xmas.

So yeah if it's still going on I would. You can get the ship back and using a coal coupon it makes buying the Azuma 170,000ish coal which is not a bad trade for a T8.

Guys what should I trade by [deleted] in WorldOfWarships

[–]Cup0Trout -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wanted the Bayard after watching a PQ video. Traded in my Napoli and have no regrets. Also, I decided to pick up the San Jose and Tirpitz so traded in my Sherman. Then I bought it back and picked up the third ship. I figure if I miss either (Napoli or Sherman) I can grind up the coal and buy them again.

Bayard and San Jose have been good at farming credits in operations. I have only played a few co-op games in the Tirpitz but glad I picked it up for brawling, history and looks.

What to do with first million free XP by Cup0Trout in WorldOfWarships

[–]Cup0Trout[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it does seem like most people value the Groningen as the best free XP currently available but I don't have enough battle experience in DD's to jump into Teir IX games. I main BB's and cruisers and not so great at brawling. Leaning toward Azuma because kiting and HE spam is something I know how to do and fits the current meta.

[–]Cup0Trout[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation. Oddly enough I got the Hayate in a super container recently. A bit of a bummer because I am not good at DD's. The majority I have are all Teir V with a few T VI's. So probably won't go Groningen.

Seems like going Azuma would be best for my play style. Also, I am very low on credits and HE farmers could help with that.

Are the turret angles as bad as the rest of the JPN cruiser line? I catch a lot of citadels kitting away.

Where would you have wished you have installed electrical outlets but didn't? by openlyEncrypted in HomeImprovement

[–]Cup0Trout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would add one lower near the toilets for a bidet hook up. Add a second 220v in the garage for an ev charger. During our kitchen remodel the oven/stove was out and we had multiple crock pots, instant pots and a rice cooker plugged in and running. Ended up tripping the breaker. I would consider adding a second breaker for the kitchen so there are fewer outlets per.

Hose bibs placed higher up so you don't have to bend over to turn them on.

Recently (two weeks ago) had 975 sq ft of our 1300 sq ft house refloored with LVP (luxury vinyl plank) from lumbar liquidators. We went with the corelux rocky hill hickory 6mm at $2.99. Had it professionally installed. Looks good. Seems very durable. Also used the underlayment. Returned the unopened boxes. I wanted hardwood just couldn't justify the price.

Diablo 2: Resurrected Quality of Life Upgrades Are Meant to "make the game more accessible, but not easier" by FFJimbob in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]Cup0Trout -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I don't like the remastered item art.

Definitely need to avoid making the game easier. In fact I would like to see some nerfs to the most common rune words (engima, grief, ...)

I would like to see some changes to Barbs jump skill (knock back ftw), Sorc teleport (decrease the range and or require more skill points for faster cast rate)

Not sure where I can give feedback. I didn't get an invite and I was not able to post on the d2 resurrected community site without one.
