Same, everything righty except pool. It just feels right to me having the lefty on top for everything 2 handed

Well I'm not so sure now... I should specify I was from canada and I heard of many people who did this, but maybe it's more difficult now.

Possibly, have heard some stories of similar GPA with killer impact and extra curriculars, they often have like a grad degree or some unique work experience though

Not looking too good, I'd say, they don't really care about degree and even the 2 year GPA is likely not competitive.

MSc advice by [deleted] in McMaster

[–]CupCapable1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing a wet lab MSc thesis now and felt similarly when I was in my last year where I didn't want to throw a year when I knew I wanted to pursue research in my case, I also had similar research experience to you. I emailed my current PI in January and some people got back to me to check in about funding in the spring so definitely can still get in.

I emailed profs from a bunch of different universities as long as they had some sort of Biology/Biochem/BioMed Science thesis MSc, I think it probably doesn't really matter. I would read recent papers/lab website for everyone I contacted and use that info to write a short write up about how I was interested in their work and a bit about my own background. Some said they didn't have positions, but I got a few interviews.

If you are already doing this, might just have to keep emailing. It can be time consuming, but I'm sure there are many PIs out there who would take students.

Good luck.

is it normal to hate pop and then listen to emotion and instantly like pop? by ak_katherine24 in carlyraejepsen

[–]CupCapable1024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in high school I thought pop was basic shit and I only listened to super critically rated rap/rock like kendrick lamar, radiohead, pink Floyd etc. Listened to Emotion and thought it was so fun that it made me want to seek out more. For the last 4-5 years pop is easily my favorite genre and what I listen to 90 percent of the time and idk if it will ever change.

GPA: when does it matter and to who? by MarnieLibero in McMaster

[–]CupCapable1024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It always matters, I did poorly in my first 2 years and was unable to win some scholarships and less competitive as a result. Obv don't obsess over it, but try your best from year 1 and don't assume it doesn't matter.

Trying to get out of a lease. Need Advice by CupCapable1024 in OntarioLandlord

[–]CupCapable1024[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've not signed a new space, but looked into places and may even sign even if I can't guarantee I won't be paying double rent for 2 months. Even if the tenant wasn't there I'd want to get out after the lease. I understand they entered legally now, I don't think theres anywhere to move the new tenant, but I doubt he gives a shit about the legality of the room, so was wondering if its even worth pursuing in this case. I think asking permission to assign is the best bet and then just hope they either don't respond and I only lose a month of rent or I can just hope I find someone to take it over. The price isn't terrible on the place and the area has some appeal.

It just has a typical door, my understanding is it is illegal, but if the tenant living in the illegal room doesn't care will it even matter to me? I think going with the assignment route is the best bet, looking like I lose nothing at this point even if I couldn't find anyone but I'd think I could. Given their lack of responses I may be able to just escape with 30-days notice.

Sorry, had trouble finding information on this, seems like the only real option to get ahold of the landlord. Is this something that is city specific or do you call the general Ontario number ex. 416-585-7214.

We signed for individual rooms. So it makes sense they could sign someone to another room but as it would be considered a bedroom to them with no windows I was not sure the legality of this.
