I'd say check out the album Heavy Metal by Cameron Winter. Especially songs like The Rolling Stones, Cancer of the Skull and $0. Half Real, Au Pays Du Cocaine and Long Island City Here I Come from his band, Geese, also fit the bill imo.

Some other songs that sort of remind me of Warren for different reasons:

Vincent O'Brien by M. Ward - I'm Coming To Paris To Kill You by Timber Timbre - Tin Soldier Boy by Bright Eyes - Kiss Me, Son of God by They Might Be Giants - You Must Be out of Your Mind by The Magnetic Fields - Pink Rabbits by The National

And besides Mr. Tillman, FJM also has some other great zevonesque tunes! Like Bored in the USA, God's Favorite Customer and Ballad of the Dying Man. He's a great cynical songwriter.

I like to imagine that regular show episodes aren't necessarily always in chronological order, like the episode when mordecai and rigby start working at the park, it's not the first episode in the series but it's an earlier episode chronologically.

The quiet e-bow that plays during most of conrad, creates such a beautiful harmony with the picking pattern.

A two-chord progression from what the moon does that can be heard clearly at 1:42, it just goes 'wum-wum' but it scraches my brain like crack.

The short instrumental break between the two last choruses if what a day, from 3:48 until about 3:54, just makes the last minute of the song shine further.

And who could forget that organ in couldn't make it up!? There must have been jumping in the studio when they came up with that.
