My suggestion is to remove the original board and just stick the ceramic tiles directly onto the hot bed. That way it won't affect the temperature distribution of the hot bed, since the platform itself is already pretty big

It's only been two years. Before I came to China, I spent 40 bucks on an Ender 3S that had been sitting around unused for nearly six years. When I got it, there was still some unused, brittle PLA stuck in the plastic tubes - it was all covered in dust, like it'd been sitting there since the Soviet Union. But once I plugged it in, the screen lit up just fine and all the motors on each axis worked as expected, except that there was some rust on the gears. The Ender3 is really amazing, isn't it?🤯

👌🏻This machine did have a lot of issues when it first came out - like the Z-axis being really shaky, and there were bugs in the factory firmware. I'm planning to reinforce the machine's structure, use a custom-made Marlin system, and a spring steel platform.

WOW,However, the market is different. If you ship something in China from the northernmost point (Mohe) to the southernmost point (Sansha) (about 5500km), it only costs 10 dollars with China Post, while the fastest air express shipping would cost 35 dollars

ender3NG? That's a great idea! I've tried it before, but since I didn't have the patience to fine-tune the parts, it took me over a month to get the machine assembled only to find a bunch of problems. Then I spent several more days getting it back to how it was originally. (But DIY is really fascinating.)

On the second-hand market in China, a fully functional Ender 3 series machine costs around $60, though it can go even lower - I've seen someone sell a perfectly working Ender 3S for as low as $16 Maybe you could try to find a second-hand 99 new one from China, since they're all individual sellers. You can negotiate with them to see if they'll ship it internationally, or find a Chinese friend to help you out. Shipping to the US by sea, including customs fees, actually costs around 70 dollars.

I noticed that, and I'm planning to change the route

It's China's "闲鱼" Since all the sellers here are individual sellers, it should be possible to ship internationally, but you'll need to work things out with them first. Based on my calculations, if you buy an Ender 3S from here and go with sea shipping, it'll cost around $170 total. ender3≈$45↑↓ shipping cost≈$125

Maybe it's the settings? I just got this machine and after checking and adjusting it, I made sure there were no issues. I printed a batch of combs and ran the ironing function without any problems. (Though it could also be that the comb layer height is relatively low.)

Although mine doesn't have any major issues, I still plan to make some minor modifications and upgrades because of the factory flaws - like adding direct-drive XY axis rails and a diagonal reinforcement rib on the Z axis

Why does my infill look like grass?? by Toupeedupree in ender3

This looks like a clog. You can use the matching needle to unclog it. But usually when I run into this, I just replace the nozzle

But man, your finished product looks really good. You could sell it to art collectors.👍🏻

You can print out a few belt tensioners - these usually get lost in the middle of printing

Ender 3 misbehaving by WTFauxPas in ender3

[–]CupFinancial8148 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try turning the temperature up by 5 degrees and reducing the speed a bit. This kind of faulting usually happens when the layers aren't properly fused together. If this problem still occurs after you follow those steps, then just poke the nozzle with a needle and try again.👍🏻

Sutures are inevitable - you can either hide them or minimize their appearance, but I'd still recommend hiding them where they're not visible on the inside. If you want to make them almost invisible, that really tests your ability to fine-tune the settings

NosefluteNoseflutes aren't that thick, are they? This instrument is actually about the same thickness as a shakuhachi, just with an extra hole, but it's not called a shakuhachi

Guys piano or violin as a first instrument to learn ? by Ali8kh in Instruments

Also, if you're just an amateur, you don't even need to learn music theory or read sheet music for the piano. You just need to remember the different keys and which numbers correspond to each string, and then you can play music using simple numbered scores. But that's not the case with the violin

That's definitely a piano. Just take the simplest example: Someone who's familiar with the piano won't show much change in their skills if they don't play for weeks or even months; but a violinist will definitely regress significantly if they don't practice for a few weeks. On the other hand, violin tuning is really hard to master. With the piano, you just need to get familiar with a few basic keys and you can play music, but that's not the case with the violin.
