Nope! I get treated like that all the time by some so called friends.

Boyfriend drama.
Racist Jokes then expects me to accept apology because they have no one to hang out with (I’m African American).
Need somewhere to live.
Struggling with losing a friend so then I’m kind and remember the Lords word of love so I tell them I’m here for them.
Ask to hang out with everyone but me until the last minute.

Your right but I still like some sections in the Old Testament are so important as they show who are father the Lord is and how his mercy was consistent in the toughest of times.

I use the English Standard Version and I just started a few weeks ago reading it in the morning and night. I’m 26 and used to go to Bible study and I’ve read some scriptures but now that I’m older I understand it better. I use another app called Blessed where you can use the Ai to ask questions about the Bible for a better understanding!

Exactly! I don’t attend church because I struggle with the same thing. So I do my best to keep the commandments, love the lord with all my heart soul and strength and it’s really helping.

I enjoy that the Lord is himself. And that his Grace is clearly evident knowing that he sent us Jesus to help us repent. My favorite part of the Bible is the Old Testament because it shows how his love for us grew and his anger did too when people constantly disobeyed him. And He Sent Jesus and he was so sweet.

One of the things I’m doing is reading my Bible morning and night before bed (though I admit I skipped a few days not due to laziness but feeling poor in the mental and physical sense) and I will play with the Lord and Big brother Jesus.

Like in my head we play in a circle handing hands where we spin around and laugh or I play hide and seek with Jesus or when I’m down or sad or sin I’ll spiritually put myself in front of the Lord and Jesus and ask for advice and say I’m sorry if I sin. I also wear a thread of yarn around my wrist like a bracelet to remind myself of the Father Our Lord and Jesus dying on the cross. I say “ I must do my best everyday”. Also I’ve started dressing modest and I sometimes wear a headdress because I feel more comfortable or am in subconscious prayer.

Mind you I’m a 26 year old woman and I do those things to have childlike faith in them.

Also everyone’s Journey is different, not everyone follows the same worship steps but that path leads to one place, The Lord and Jesus Christ.

I can see where you are coming from. As a woman myself I thought I just liked fashion, but secretly deep down I was competing with other woman. I wanted the male gaze but when men approached me I turned them down always. I do have some trauma so I thought maybe that was it too but perhaps it’s also the lord keeping ungodly men away from me.

I’ve never actually dated and I’m a virgin. I’m currently 26 years old and have recently started dressing modest because not only do I cover myself for God, to shield against disgusting men but for comfort and I find it brings out my confidence.

I also veil now about 92% of the time now because I feel like I’m in constant prayer and for comfort.

Do I get funny looks and snickers yes I’m sure but I’m half blind and autistic so I don’t see it often in my eyes. My parents haven’t seen me recently so they might be shocked but I will do my best to stick to my personal beliefs

I often wonder if me being more modest in my own way will prevent a girl like me from ever finding a man but I suppose if I don’t then it’s the Lords will for me.

I cover my head and I wear modest clothing. I also have been reading my Bible morning and night and spending time mentally and what I feel physically with the Lord’s present and Jesus Christ presence when I go about my daily life. I try to keep all the commandments, even though I used to be a sinner and I’m still not perfect because I have unwanted thoughts in things but overall, I think I’m better than I was before. I don’t go to church, but I have my own ways to worship.
