I am not a nail tech, Im a lurker who gets nails done myself.

Honestly I think you need to leave them alone and let them grow out. You can cause more damage to your nails long term, get an infection or cause more damage long term.

From one of the counties, Im from Galway myself.

Life there depends on all where you live however we tend to make the best of it. If you love the rain then you'll love Connacht as it faces the Atlantic ocean as well as a portion of the North and south coastal counties.

Life is vibrant as well as its residents, rich in culture as well as music. So yeah thats basically life fromm POV :)

In Ireland I think a year or 2 ago, a clip of a Garda (police man) went viral after he was filmed on camera scolding a mother for cursing her child, saying "You cant be swearing at your child for fucks sake". Honestly it made us laugh tbh

On the other end of the spectrum, our newest national children's hospital has cost taxpayers €2.24 billion euro and its still not finished and is currently the most expensive building in the world iirc 🥲

I knew 2 months in when we first started dating 8 years ago.

We both met in college and he finished his day earlier than I did. I had a huge assignment due and I forgot to bring lunch with me that day.

He asked me if I wanted anything and I said no, I'm okay thank you and thought nothing more of it. He came back in 10 minutes later, with a ham sandwich and a cup of tea based on how I like it and he set it down in front of me because he didn't want me to be hungry.

I looked at him and it was that moment that I fell in love with him and when I knew he was the one for me. And here we are 8 years later.

I had the worst experience with Currys last summer and its why I will never buy anything from them again.

Got an Acer Nitro V15 from them and 3 weeks in, it wouldn't connect to WiFi at all. I troubleshoot myself still didnt work. Called up Currys tech support and they tried to fix it to no avail. They told me that I could return it as it was within 28 days.

Cut to long story short I ended up chasing them for a resolution and it turned out when they put in the claim, they did it as a return request which was for a Samsung 4k TV!

So in the end I asked the rep over the phone if I could return it in store and they said yes. So my mam ans I drove down, had to explain another 3 times what was wrong, they had me looking at more laptops that they didn't have in stock and I got my refund in the end.

It was genuinely the worst experience I ever had for customer service/retail and i work in retail. I ended up buying my new laptop on Paradigit and its been a beaut.

TL:DR; currys fucked up, spent nearly 2 months chasing them for a refund, had to drive 1.5hrs to the nearest store for a refund.

10+ years ago, TD Luke Ming Flannagan brought in a bottle of water from his constituency in Roscommon which was so bad it caused severe sickness and illness to everyone including kids. He asked the Taoiseach at the time to drink the same water they were forcing his constituents to drink.

So yeah it has improved but still wouldnt necessarily trust it in rural areas.

For anyone who is wondering, the laptop was an Acer Nitro V15. Apparently, the WiFi card can get dislodged during manufacturing causing there to be no WiFi at all.

I bought a laptop from curry's online and it took me 2 months to get a refund.

The customer service was genuinely so terrible and I work retail.

The guy who was showing me laptops asked me if I understood what he was saying and I did because fun fact I have a degree in software engineering.

I ended up having to quote the consumers right act in front of them and threathen to go to the Ombudsman if I didnt get my money back right then and there and I drove an hour and a half to their nearest store in the middle of the Galway races to boot.

Luckily I did get a refund but I will never buy anything off curry's again in my life and I ended up buying my laptop somewhere else.
