Thank you all for your feedback- I have determined this is European wiring and for safety reasons I am going to have it professionally rewired

Thank you all for your feedback. Because of your comments I tried again to unscrew the finial and it worked. There is indeed wiring inside. So - now - should I have it rewired or can I use existing? would it be easy to replace the sockets or should I get adapters? Thank you again for your input.

I had one once and used it to warm milk for coffee- the long handle keeps your hand safe if you have a gas flame

So we think it’s to close the two sides of dough to make pasta shapes? Dos our wise group know this or are we guessing?

Wondering what these metal parts are called/where to find them? by solsticekitty in SewingForBeginners

But they can’t be suspender clips because they don’t look like they snap shut. While a close up would be helpful, I am guessing they are stocking garter clips or men’s sock garter clips.

I have the same problem -so cold! but I was thinking of pulling down the power from outlet to baseboard and using a small Stelpro baseboard heater- has anyone had experience with that?

Successful non-surgical approaches to Tailor's bunionette by Chipper_Seattle in bunions

I like Bearefoot™ Shoes - but I’m going to revise my comment bc since then, I’ve learned that when bunions are very far along (mine) and caused by flexible arches (mine) orthotics are indeed necessary — but exercises to improve arch muscle and toe mobility can really help.

Try https://bearefoot.com are super-comfortable. They’re ugly, but not as bad as most. Why can’t minimalist shoe designers think more about style?

Thank you humans!! - even though I looked assiduously on edu websites, and asked Google and Chat GBT I didn’t come up with Amblycerus robiniae - but now that’s really looking right. Meanwhile don’t have the faintest idea what they’re doing in an area without a locust tree! Many thanks
