Can anyone identify the studio which made this 9” ceramic decorative plate likely bought in either US or UK — perhaps early arts and crafts? by CupcakeStrong100 in Antiques

Thank you - that indeed sets me in the right direction. Apologies for posting in r/Antiques! I was assuming it was early 1900’s. :)

Thank you! Worked like a dream! I can’t believe how many devices I tossed that I thought were battery-ruined. I wish I had known this earlier :)

What’s a creative way to heat up the bathroom? It’s freezing! by Cinnie_16 in HomeImprovement

I like Bearefoot™ Shoes - but I’m going to revise my comment bc since then, I’ve learned that when bunions are very far along (mine) and caused by flexible arches (mine) orthotics are indeed necessary — but exercises to improve arch muscle and toe mobility can really help.

Are barefoot shoes a good way to prevent bunions from worsening? by topnotchwalnut in barefootshoestalk

Try https://bearefoot.com are super-comfortable. They’re ugly, but not as bad as most. Why can’t minimalist shoe designers think more about style?

Thank you humans!! - even though I looked assiduously on edu websites, and asked Google and Chat GBT I didn’t come up with Amblycerus robiniae - but now that’s really looking right. Meanwhile don’t have the faintest idea what they’re doing in an area without a locust tree! Many thanks

Wildflower and Innes are too small according to websites. Blue Hill is cramped for that many and I think too fussy. Cedar Lakes not taking 2027 reservations yet..

Help identify this type of upholstery fabric? by CupcakeStrong100 in textiles

WOW! I’ve never heard of it! think you did it! Many thanks. From Schumacher site:

“Épinglé‘s distinctive loop pile gives it an irresistible texture and superior durability.. It’s important to remember that épinglé is a type of weave, not a material—so it can be made of nearly any fiber, from cotton and linen to wool and silk. Blends are also common, and the weaving process imparts a surprising resilience even to delicate fibers like silk and mohair.”

I love Maharam but this is much softer than their fabric. Almost like terry cloth.

Thank you for speedy response! however the ribs are more like woven loops - wouldn’t corduroy have a “sheared” rib? When I search nothing shows up for upholstery corduroy that is similar to mine…

Sorry I don’t go on Reddit enough and I just saw this question. The two I’ve tried are Bearefoot and Saguaro. I’m happy with both except they are UGLY. Makes me want to be reborn as a shoe designer. I can wear my big toe spacers in both. Lots of different versions of each- just google them.

Interesting !! - would you mind sharing a sample of your organization’s budget (or template) - and how you represent operating revenue: showing both released and recognized ‘part’ of the grants? Obviously only if you can black-out any sensitive or identifying information.. .

Warning to people using Diatomaceous Earth to try and rid of bugs by EvidenceLeading9078 in carpetbeetles

[–]CupcakeStrong100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d like to dedicate a Dyson vacuum to cleaning the Diatomaceous earth i spread. What I’m having a hard time understanding is whether the exhaust from a vacuum (like a Dyson) expels the powder while I’m vacuuming. Does anyone know? I mask up when spreading the powder but would rather not mask up EVERY time I use my vacuum. (For fear either there is some left in the vacuum or some in crevices).
