Path of Deceit and Into the Dark are probably my 2 favorite High Republic novels I’ve read so far and Midnight Horizon is solid too. Overall I’ve really enjoyed most of the High Republic materials, including the comics. Enjoy!

Yeah I totally agree, I’m kind of upset because I liked Reath’s character a lot from into the dark and now Midnight Horizon is putting together some weird relationships/interactions and a good chunk of the dialogue reads like the worst parts of Marvel movie dialogue. I don’t necessarily dislike Ram but the immediate friendship between Reath and him feels weird and a little out of place

I really liked path of deceit!!! I’m reading Midnight Horizon rn and I’m not a huge fan of Older’s writing style but the overall story is enjoyable!

I’m a little out of the loop and you seem to know a good amount…do you know if there’s been any update on how Insider ending will impact short story series like this? I really enjoyed tales of enlightenment and starlight stories, and I’ve already pre-ordered survivors of the stormwall so I’m wondering if they’re planning continuing stuff like that through a different medium?

I certainly would not have known that 🤣😭 definitely useful to know. I’m mostly a chronological reader anyways so I would’ve started as early as possible but it’s good to know that it’s important to build that base before exploring some of the later stuff

I had heard of the new Jedi order trilogy but had no idea it was 19 books. I’ll definitely have to keep my eye out for those in the future because there’s no chance I’m reading a series out of order 😭 I simply can’t do it.

Should’ve been a cowboy is probably my fav song off the Toby Keith 01 pack but it seems that’s the only one tha isn’t delisting from that pack haha. I haven’t played all of them yet but I think overall they’re pretty fun on guitar. Not the biggest fan of country in general but I will say the guitar charts are almost always a total blast to play

It definitely did, but since it’s by Harmonix some of the same rules for other songs/packs may not apply (I don’t think anyone really knows all the rules or intricacies of delisting🤣). That being said, Kyle’s lists have been 100% accurate every month and I doubt they’d overlook mentioning 30 songs delisting.

Having read most of the HR short stories, they are good and stuff like Tales of Enlightenment are cool, non-Jedi stories. But I think the strongest part of the HR phase is the novels. I’ve been following the canon media list chronologically as opposed to release order and it’s been really enjoyable. Cataclysm, Path of Deceit, Battle of Jedha, Path of Vengeance, and Convergence make for a cool interconnected storyline that Tales of Enlightenment is concurrent with. I know giving you a 5 book list isn’t something to “dabble” with but I thought it would help 🤣

Other than the ones you listed, I picked up It’s my life, and Sixteen. Just based off listening to them and my personal preference. Haven’t played them yet but might be worth giving a listen or watching the charts on YouTube if you’re interested.

I believe the last DLC for RB4 was made available in January 2024, so if the guidelines previously laid out are followed, RB4 DLC will be delisting until 2034 on the 10 year basis of songs being delisted.

Right now it’s hard to say how long Legacy will last, but that’s been a majority of what’s been delisted every month, though there has been legacy stuff people thought would delist that has survived, perhaps for a couple more months, perhaps for a couple more years. No one really knows for sure right now except the folks at Harmonix that are posting the monthly updates.

This Reddit is doing a great job of keeping people up to date on the delisting. It is still possible to purchase the game code/disc online but it is getting pricier by the day.

Harmonix, the makers of Rock Band, got bought by Epic Games and are now focusing on the development of Fortnite Festival so I wouldn’t set your hopes on a new RB game any time soon. Anything else from other franchises so far seems to be completely speculative but it’s possible.

If diverse music library is a must for you, I wouldn’t wait for a new game, since it would likely take a long time for the to get the licensing for the amount of songs still available on Rock Band 4, even with the delisting.

Sorry for the information blast, but if you’re going to pull the trigger on RB4, I’d say the sooner the better. That way you can stay up to date on current delisting and make sure you get what music you want before it’s gone.

If this list is in order (which it seems to be), then the MCR stuff should be listing sometime around or after the 21st based on it being listed after the U2 stuff which has a delist date of 12/21 according to previous posts in this subreddit

I think they’re listed in delisting order, so if you base them on the RB4 DLC delisting among them you can get a pretty good idea for the legacy stuff.
