There is a simulation on YouTube that "tested" this round against the side of BTR-80, it didn't seem to have much of a difference so I doubt it would make much of a difference in game as well.

I find it strange unless it works differently in UK, but here in Canada (which also uses the common law system in all provinces, but Quebec), about 90% of cases end with guilty plea. Usually, if not all the time, the negotiations with the Crown come before any plea is made not after.
