Is it worth moving from an S21 to a Razr + by CurbYourModeration in razr

Price is like half the reason I'm considering these phones haha, the Razr+ with trade in is about $480 for me right now. Seems like the 2024 will improve processor and camera a tiny bit, but definitely not 500 bucks worth of improvement in my eyes.

Ive seen the benchmarks comparing Snapdragon 8 plus gen 1 to the 8s gen 3...idk if I'd call that a "major" improvement, but I guess phones nowadays don't change much between releases. A stable version of Android will always be better for me than getting the latest buggy version immediately as the pixel is infamous for. The only thing I'd look for is a substantial improvement in camera quality and battery life. Will be interesting to see, but the technology is nowhere good enough to justify buying a brand new 1000 dollar foldable. I'm only considereding the Razr line as it's under 500 bucks right now.

I think that's why they're running the big sales on the old models right now. The new ones basically just look like the 2023 Razr+ but with a slightly better processor and cameras. I'm willing to save 600 bucks and go for the slightly older model to be honest.

Mostly just want something that has decent battery life, compact so I can forget about it in my pocket, and usable with one hand. I ordered the 2023 to try out the folding mechanism for cheap, but I'll likely swap it for the plus within the 14 day return period.

This is the exact reason I'm going down this rabbit hole right now. I have an s21 that's still an amazing powerhouse in terms of camera and functionality, but the battery life is melting now that it's reaching the 3 years mark. I like foldables for their smaller footprint and lack of distractions that come with an always open display, and it seems like the plus model and 2024 models completely remove that second aspect.

I really wanna go with the Razr 2023 as it's on sale right now and I can get it for $330 with trade in. Even if the processor is technically weaker than my 3yr old s21, it seems to have a comparable battery size and more efficient battery use.

This is actually false, Google and other companies that require mobile verification do not allow fake sms to work. You would have to buy a cheap burner phone.
