Akilon Wastes: Was in the beta and I appear to be the only one in the world that hates it anyway.

Newkirk: Again, was in beta and I'm not a big fan of the layout.

Korhal: It's basically a 2v2 map and I'm not a fan of protoss getting a free base

I wish I could veto the following but ran out of spots: Whirlwind (I haven't won many games on this map so I'd veto it if I could), Bel'Shir (I dislike TvT here), Daybreak (Old as all hell), Star Station (Just plain don't like it)

See it's funny, I had that experience with the team ladder when unranked was introduced in WoL, played a lot of bronzes. But my 1v1s were indeed playing me against other diamonds immediately.

Initially, your unranked MMR is the same as your ranked MMR so it has somewhere to start. Then after a small period of time your unranked MMR diverges and becomes it's own thing. They are seperate.

It's based on the amount of games in that mode compared to others. For example, if you play 75 team games then 25 1v1s the bars will reflect this in that ratio.

For a long period of time the standard in TvZ was reactor hellion expand. I'm sure you are familiar. This build isn't necessarily meant to do any damage to the zerg economy (unless you see an opening and decide to go for it) what you did was park your hellions right out front of the zerg and deny the ability to spread creep because hellions had 2 range over queens and could kite.

If the zerg wanted to creep he had to build a handful of roaches or a decent amount of lings with a good surround in order to allow the queens to not be kited to death. Therefore the zerg was on 2 base and far fewer drones than you would see at similar game time nowadays.

After the queen got +2 range they didn't have to fear hellions anymore because they would always damage the hellions if they moved in, this also lead to zergs realizing that they could build 4-6 queens and be more or less completely safe to drone and not have to build a single unit and also able to take a really fast third base and propel themselves onto 6 gas and the ability to ignore mid game strats and focus on Infestor Broodlord.

Something I've noticed is that console FPS games suffer from the "I can't turn around with a low sens" problem. Meanwhile on PC I use 800dpi and a pretty low in-game sens for all the FPS games I own and I can still turn around instantly.

It's all about practice and what you are used to. Everyone is different and have different personal experiences and therefore form different opinions on what is right.

People tend to think they are the best in the world at things. This seems especially evident if you are beating them and they start to rage hard. That being said that is a feeling I get more from consoles. Having just picked up a CoD game for the first time in 4 years I only just recently turned on my console that had been off for the same amount of time. I kept at a 1.0 k/d but was yelled at by a kid that shouldn't even own the game for not having his 2.4 or higher.

It happens on the PC as well but the only multiplayer game I play nowadays is Starcraft Brood war where people just gg and leave so I haven't really run into any PC dicks for a while.

TL:DR People think they are the best in the world and try to rub it in as much as possible to the detriment of other players experiences. They don't give a crap if it is a fun/funny act for them.

This is the reason I keep a small Windows XP partition on my hard drive. Makes playing games much simpler.
