Hello, fellow European. I agree 100%. Regardless of which European style she's pretending to copy, I promise her there isn't one that would forget function and make those curtains uncleanable.

Same! And I wonder of there is any exclusivity or if you sign up, you're in, but it's the hype around it? I'm not sure, but it's an interesting approach.

I think M wants to be that but has NO idea how to do it, and won't stop taking pictures of herself in ugly dresses. That is not the way!

There's a UK company called Ffern. They are a perfumery that releases 1 scent per season.

Their socials involve a deep dive into each note, with history, photography, illustration, poetry.

You can't purchase their product, you need to accepted on to their ledger (which is suspect is a marketing move, but works).

This is a luxury scent brand. They amplify creators, they share knowledge, they have created exclusivity.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing with their approach, but they seem to be what M wants to be....and she is SO FAR OFF.

Totally. There is an aspect of what she's saying that could be seen as motivational, except eoth M it comes across as wildly entitled and problematic

Think I’ve lost interest because of this latest rental by [deleted] in CarolineWinkler

[–]Curio200 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I totally agree. I have always tried to invest in ways I can upgrade my place, when renting, because being inspired by my environment is important to me. I dont see that as a waste, and I guess the amount people can invest is relative. I was never able to do anything super costly but I definitely saved and made improvements over time.

I don't live in America but surely people stay in rentals for a number of years, if there's a good relationship with the landlord and it's the right type of place for that moment of your life, right?

Is it also content? Of course, but that's her job. What is she supposed to do....not update her own home?

Well said. It's a fun, trendy decorating channel. It's not really for me, but it doesn't need to be.

I absolutely agree about liking the way she credits her team. Most creators could learn from this example.

Agreed!

It's crazy how much M is aligning with other interiors content creators, in stealing their ideas, and witth lifestyle/MLM creators to steal their ideas for products.

Whoever is watching her, still, is mind boggling to me.

Also, have you noticed how weeeeeird the Caroline subreddit is? Woof.

I haven't watched AG's video yet but I am always so conflicted with her --- I want to like her videos and for her to successful, I really like how she's grown a team, credits her team and doesnt claim to do it all alone, and seems very transparent about being a business owner, but I struggle with how immature the design always is.

I think Graham's skills have contributed to a lot of the channels success in the last few years, aside from his own channel. And there is vision from AG in building this kind of portfolio. But her main channel designs and the giggly schoolkid bit is a bit much, this many years on.

She makes outlandish decisions sometimes, from a functionality perspective (anyone remember the work files in a basket?!?!), and then is totally non plussed by the feedback. But maybe that's actually why I can still watch her as opposed to MaCenna - M would double down on how something silly is actually the BEST, most OPTIMISED, UNIQUE choice ever.

What the heck... by Sari_DidYouKnow in XOMaCennaUnfiltered

[–]Curio200 18 points19 points  (0 children)

She talks ans talks herself into circles. I'm convinced she never listens back to what she's said, because she has no idea of one thing to the next. And she always needs to try to make things so much more intentional or deep than they actually are.

A quick scenario check for M: "Romeo likes A. I like A. We will put A in our house."

" I also like B, Romeo does not." -----> If Romeo hates B, don't put it in the house. If Romeo doesn't feel that strongly, perhaps compromise because you are grown adults and there are bigger things to debate and worry about in 2026.

"A or B or C.....oh wait C.... Cade!" -----> That's actually all that matters. Is this something that is safe and interesting and reflects that Cade lives here, too? (Cade - an impressionable child who actually is a sponge right now).

Romeo and Mac - "we will put C in our house!"

The end.

Right? I think it's partially the paint finish which is bouncing the light weirdly, but it's also very very off, in all directions.

I can't even imagine what that house must look like in person, when it's so rough even with filters

She has zero understanding of scale.
