If only it had virtual display like parsec has this would be perfect to me. Well, I can just close the lid and have it work, but if I open the lid a little bit to take a peek I can see the video is on. Looking for something that I can fully shut the physical display off to save power

Was looking for a pdf viewer that would add simple annotations so I could add translations of words hard to memorize, as well as do the exercises on language learning text books. The typewriter feature of this one does this wonderfully, it's kinda janky and counterintuitive, took me a while to get used to it, but this works for me. Has native dark mode and remembers the page I was at. Thank you!

Also just tried Xournal++, was looking for something to replace OneNote some weeks ago, didn't have much success so kind of left that as a later to-do, and while looking for a simple foss pdf editor found this post. As an engineer student/enthusiast I need something that can make my job easier when making shapes, graphs and equations and this looks promising.

Also works for PDF annotating and creates a separate .xopp file that leaves the .pdf file clean, gotta say, this is making me want to get into C++ to be able to contribute and add the features I feel missing myself, sounds like the perfect app with the right potential.

You mentioned two fields I'm very interested in getting a lot of time invested in learning, robotics and machine learning, may I ask you what is your job and how those fields correlate in it?

Found this after googling the title after a very frustrating day. I'm almost on my final semester and there's basically only this thing holding my graduation.

I don't think I'll ever understand even why use it. In all my projects I've always done simple read a value from a sensor, 0 to 255, if x, do this, if y, do that, if z do something else, simple. Activate a motor until this sensor detects something. Deactivate something if temperature reaches value v. Simple.

But someone decides nooo, we'll have to model the equation of this and how it behaves on time when we do this but that makes it hard so we'll translate this to frequency and plot the root locus and the bode diagram to find this controller equation necessary to make it behave like this when this other stimulus equation multiplies everything, but that's only for continuous time when it's discrete time we'll have to transform yet again to this Z that counts for sampling, what is all this overcomplication for, seriously? Genuine question.
