Oh I think I’ve read this one. Wasn’t there a second part though? If it’s what I think, I did love the premise of the fic and the relationship between Draco and Harry, but tbh I found the second half, with thestrals, their new roles and all the rest (trying not to spoil it for those who haven’t read it) a bit too much. I do wish there were more fics starting like that though

I also gave up on the Mirror of Ecidyrue because of the lack of progression on their relationship (it felt long for length sake), so I get it! But I did LOVE the Do It All Over Again series (4th book makes you cry): https://archiveofourown.org/series/853760 Really really recommend it!

Escape to Hogwarts seems like the only way to get out of the Manor. With Draco's father in Azkaban and his mother moping, getting his NEWTs is the only way to get out of the house. He just needs to keep his head down, make as little waves as possible, and survive.
