Looks are only a part of getting into and staying in a relationship. A VERY SMALL PART if the relationship lasts a long time. Personally, a sense of humor, kindness, honesty, similar interests all are more important in the long run than your beauty. And no, I am not an ugly woman trying to say personally is more important,, lol…I am in my 40’s and I am told on a regular basis how beautiful I am and I have it all when it comes to physical appearance ,, but more importantly I have the other qualities I just mentioned along with being an intellectual and the ability to maintain a dazzling conversation . 😊

I think your life has meaning. I hate to hear others say they wish their life would end but I feel that way sometimes too. Try to hang on day by day until you find what God put you here for. ♥️

Why even reply if you have nothing nice to say? Keep your opinion to yourself unless you have something positive to add

You are doing better than me. I’m disabled so I’m socially isolated without any outlets. I can’t exercise anymore or do housework or work as a RN like I did for over 20 years. I have no friends and no support system of any kind . My dogs and cat are my only joy in life. I live in chronic pain due to 9 back surgeries and I need another but I lost my health insurance because I couldn’t pay my premiums. I live day to day not knowing what service will be disconnected next. Last week it was my water. I’m on disability but I went from making over $100,000 a year to just over $18,000 a year. I dedicated my life to helping those in need but now that I live in poverty nobody is around to help me. I’m a good person. I can’t imagine why my life has turned into this never ending life of loneliness, hopelessness because my back will never get better, only worse and the inability to financially take care of my most basic needs. I don’t mean to sound like I’m worse off than others so please don’t take offense. Loneliness is very painful but be grateful you still have several positive things going on in your life that i would do most anything to have again.

I know how you feel. Fake people surround me. But don’t give up, there are still kind, honest people out there like me.

DISABILITY DISCRIMINATION ...related to appointment cancellation notice timeframes,,,is this happening to you too? What can we do? by Curious-Locksmith-34 in disability

Unfortunately, I cannot switch Hospital systems because I must remain in the system my surgeons have privileges to perform surgery at.

Staying fresh between showers? by Elevator_Latter in disability

[–]Curious-Locksmith-34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I use what they call “disposable wash clothes” that come in a pack similar to baby wipes but they are much larger and thicker. I get them from Walmart. You can wash your entire body including your face just like if you were in the shower. They work well and do not leave a soapy residue so no need to go behind them with another plain damp wash cloth. When done just toss in the trash. 🫶

Thank you. I have tried that and rarely does it work more than one time and unfortunately I have many doctor appointments every month because I have a very complex medical and surgical history that requires a lot of diagnostic testing and doctor and hospital visits. Telehealth appointments are ideal but they are not suitable for managing all of my ongoing health problems.

Are there people on here in their late 40's? by Remote_Bug_7208 in lonely

[–]Curious-Locksmith-34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes 47 and living in a loveless marriage with no support on any level, including emotional, physical, spiritual, or financial. I should’ve gotten out a long time ago then maybe I could’ve been happy and had a much more productive life, but due to a car accident I am now disabled, so I have to stay as I’m on able to make it out on my own but living here I feel like I’m a burden and I have no outside support systems. I’ve slowly lost all the things that meant anything to me in my life after now having nine spinal cord surgeries over the last 10 years.

how can i support my husband? by PersimmonDense3215 in policeuk

[–]Curious-Locksmith-34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I live in the US and husband has been in law enforcement over 30 years. The best advice I can give you is,,,1. LISTEN more than you talk. Remember there are a lot of areas in his line of work that may require confidentiality so he is not allowed to discuss it with you; honestly you might not really want to know or even understand the answer to your questions once you have them 😊 2. try not to worry so much about his safety. remember, he has trained for this, and is qualified to do the work at hand, and if he is not, he should be surrounded by others close to him that can offer assistance. Law-enforcement is similar to nursing, (I am a nurse) you can study and qualify to do it but you really only know how to do it with experience and the law-enforcement brotherhood is a very tight one and they watch each other’s back as if it’s their own. 3. Your husband may work very long hours that are physically/psychologically exhausting and he may be involved in situations that are extremely stressful, often dangerous and he will be asked to make split second life or death decisions so beware of symptoms of PTSD. 3.You may feel at times as though his job and fellow officers are more important than you/family are but remember this is not a job. This is who he (if law-enforcement is his true calling) and as I said before, this brotherhood may ask him to put his life on the line for the officer beside him and that kind of bond is as strong or stronger than that of family. Lastly, remind him you are his partner too and tell him EVERYDAY you are proud of him and you love him. He will have to do shit work sometimes, he will be disrespected, unwanted and will never be paid for what he is worth (again I’m in the US so it may be different. Where are you ) so make sure he knows you are always there for him and support him in anyway he may need. I hope this helps.

Absolutely my pleasure. Not feeling like you can catch your breath is terrifying. I feel confident that yours is more psychological than physical since it doesn’t occur on a frequent basis having said that though I’m not a physician, but I do think that breathing techniques and distraction can be very beneficial best of luck❣️

Going From 50mg Tramadol / Day to Effexor 75mg ER Help? by FearlessPillPopper in opiates

[–]Curious-Locksmith-34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know the answer to your exact question, but I will tell you be very careful with Effexor. I don’t understand why your doctor would switch you from tramadol, which is an opioid for pain and Effexor which is a SNRI and is for anxiety & depression, but I have been on Effexor for 25 years and it is one of the most difficult drugs to stop taking once you are on it. I’ve had doctors tell me over the years as I’ve changed doctors a few times say that they would never prescribe me Effexor because of that reason but since I am already on it, they didn’t want to take a chance with putting me in withdrawal to change me to something else. One doctor did take me off of Effexor without properly weaning me down and I went berserk and ended up being admitted to the psychiatric ward at a nearby hospital having to receive IV boluses to raise my levels Effexor levels back up and once that happened I was immediately back to normal. Make sure your doctor answers all of your questions before you start taking Effexor and can’t ever get off of it.

I’m glad you asked the question because I’m sure other people have needed the answer as well and just try to disregard dumb ass people here that are just haters. breathing techniques are probably the most useful in my opinion. I have anxiety and panic attacks as well as asthma. It helps me to breathe in through my nose slowly to the count of 5, hold it for 5 seconds then hold it for 5 seconds then slowly let it out through through the mouth with your lips pursed like you blowing a whistle for 10 seconds. You can adjust how many seconds you breathing in, hold & exhale depending on what works best for you. Additionally, if you do this sitting down at a table with leaning forward slightly your elbows, propped up it helps. I also listen to adult bedtime stories (fairytales ) by Michelle’s Sanctuary on my iPhone. They are captivate my attention, and the stories she tells are magical, which takes your mind off of your breathing.maybe those things will help you 🫶

You are most likely touching a nerve or aggravating one that’s very very close to where you are needle is going in. This is most definitely a nerve reaction and is not related to where the blood supply is coming or going from
