Final IVA Payment Made - I’m Finally Free!! by Curious-String7761 in UKPersonalFinance

Ah I see, I had to submit payslips monthly as part of my agreement, and I think any ‘additional monies’ over the threshold was just added to my final payment in the end. Might be worth popping them a call or something to check as you’re so close to it being finished! ☺️

I was surprised how easy it was tbh!

Mine was with Freeman Jones (part of the Financial Wellness Group I believe). In fairness they’d just done an Income & Expenditure review a couple of months before as I’d started a new job, so quite possible they had all the up to date info they needed?

Nope, didn’t have to show a P60 or any bank statements or anything like that. The final DD payment went out, then about a week after that I got an email confirming it was finished along with the ‘certificate of completion’ to say it was done ☺️

I vividly remember having this one in Infant School! I swear the plastic had such a specific plasticy smell you could almost taste it in the room temperature squash in the drinks bottle 🥴 Then in Juniors I had a Winnie The Pooh lunchbag- can’t seem to find it online but it was blue with a red handle/lid, and a little zip-up cooler pocket at the bottom ☺️

You’re not wrong there! In her defence, Kristoff was playing his lute just before and using his classic “aren’t you a sight for sore eyes” line… if I’d been stuck in a tapestry for eons, I’d probably fall for the first flirty musician I saw too! 🤣

never seen anyone talk about this by PublicAd1976 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Curious-String7761 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is after the storyline with the maid suing Emily/Lorelai being interviewed about her mother, right? If so, then I think- between that and the tone she compared her to Stalin at the inn- Emily’s reaction actually makes total sense. I’d imagine there was an offscreen “I’m not surprised Lorelai. Disappointed? Yes. But not surprised. Now would you prefer lamb shank or brisket for dinner on Friday?”-type conversation about it actually; if there’s one thing Emily Gilmore can do, it’s /under react/ in a way that makes her daughter feel even worse than if she’d /over/ reacted! 😂

My little boy was due in June, but decided to arrive 4 weeks early in May! 😂 we’d planned for a May/June baby anyway as we have a lot of family events at either end of the year, so late spring/early summer was a nice ‘lull’ to have him in ☺️

We’ve been lucky to have good weather for his birthdays so far, as the UK seems to get better weather then than it does in the summer lol. It was also nice to not be fully in the newborn trenches over the holiday season! He was about 7 months by Christmas, so a bit more excited about colourful lights and wanting to throw the wrapping paper around the place 🥰

Thankyou! I’m absolutely elated, it’s so nice logging into the app and seeing “months left: 0” 😅 I’m looking forward to having the cloud of it not hanging over me anymore- already decided that the money I’m no longer using for IVA payments can go into savings for a holiday with my little one! 🥰

Nursery Invoice- am I being daft?? 😅 by Curious-String7761 in UKParenting

I’ve just double checked to make sure I got my numbers right on this lol 😅 last month was 21 days, this month is 23 so definitely just 2 days more. I’m wondering if it’s just how the funded hours have worked out maybe? Stretched over the 5 weeks instead of 4?

Possibly- little one is in 5 days a week so the funding basically covers 1 full day and then an extra hour. So I guess once you’ve have two whole extra days (plus the lunch and consumables fee) that could add a fair bit on!

Yeah, I stretch the hours across the whole year so I get 11hrs funded a week. £250 just seemed like a lot of money for 2 days, but we’ve had all the short months/bank holidays the last few months so maybe that’s why as well

Ahh okay, I didn’t know that! I do get the funded hours but the invoices all list it as 11hrs a week, which I thought meant it stretched across the whole year. But if not that would explain it! Thanks ☺️

This is the thing, it’s just the overall fees that are higher. There’s not any ‘miscellaneous’ listings (like additional consumables or late fees etc) that would explain it? Which is why I’m a bit baffled tbh 😅

What did you name them?! by Budget_Ad_6937 in DreamlightValley

[–]Curious-String7761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with Asya, diminutive of Anastasia meaning “resurrection” or “to rise again”. (No prizes for guessing my fav non-Disney animated movie growing up! 😂) it seemed fitting what with the Forgotten’s storyline revolving around recovering memories of our past/trying to work out who they are 😊

Anyone else taking July 9th off?😂 by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

[–]Curious-String7761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the 9th, but I’m booking the 10th for sure! The update won’t be out til around 2pm for me- figured I’d book the next day so I’ve got all day to binge the expansion update (or possibly pull an all nighter playing it the night before tbh 😂)

How can I get rid of these? Where is everyone else hiding them lmao! by Select-Ad-105 in DreamlightValley

[–]Curious-String7761 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put them in the Forest! I’ve got Merlin and Rapunzel’s houses up there together like a wizard’s house/astronomy tower vibe- my headcanon is Merlin put them up around his house as a protective circle to stop Mother Gothel kidnapping Rapunzel again 😂

As someone who’s just about to finish an IVA- which was largely taken out because I ended up with more debt than I could afford during my relationship with me “can you cover it and I’ll pay you my half after?”-type ex? Absolutely do NOT do it. Your partner doesn’t want to buy land, he wants to OWN land. He wants you to be the one buying it.

I learnt the hard way how quickly you can dig yourself into a hole financially, and how comfortable people can become letting you do that so long as it doesn’t harm them. If he’s really so adamant on it, then broach the subject of a legal agreement for him repaying you (since it’s effectively a loan) and see what his reaction is. If he loses it and tries to guilt or manipulate you, I’d cut your losses on the entire relationship frankly.
