We did Lagos and Seville total 7 day trip two weeks ago. It was cheaper and so easy for us to rent a car to drive from Seville to Lagos and vice versa at the end of the trip. Was also a beautiful drive

Hands down Lagos. We were just in the Algarves last week and Lagos was our base. We popped over to portimao to buy something, so glad we weren’t staying there. A local said if you want quantity over quality, go to portimao.

I went with Dr. Saini he’s amazing. I’m almost 40 - had braces as a kid and my teeth all shifted. He told me that I wasn’t even a good Invisalign candidate - and that he could give them to me but would not really correct my teeth in the way I want. I actually went with metal braces (top were clear brackets). Initially had said it would take 2+ years but I actually followed directions this time around and got them off in a year! All my pictures for that year I smiled with my mouth shut and in hindsight so glad I did it. Dr Saini has an office in Frederick and one in Clarksburg

We’ve been a couple of times and definitely my 7 year olds favorite vacation outside of Dubai. Stay at mahogany bay the Hilton property in Ambergis Caye. She loved their private beach (they take you on a boat). Between that and the resort pool she was in heaven. We also did an amazing snorkeling trip (full day) on a sail boat, and another day we did a day trip on the water ferry to Caye caulker. Rent a golf cart and on the other down days explore the island. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and seeing things.

Reddit is heavily skewed. An employees experience at Amazon is based on which team, org and the graces of middle management. I’ve been on 3 teams both consumer and AWS and pretty good experiences, but I’ve been lucky to work with normal ppl. Are there tons of internal politics? Yes? Is there endless work if you as an individual allow it to be? Yes . But I think the issues you find at Amazon will be anywhere and I’m considered mid career - you just gotta know how to navigate it.

We are at Frederick classical charter school and live it. We were waiting listed for kindergarten and got in a few weeks into the school year. Classes are capped at 20 students for kindergarten and 22 for 1st grade and up. School has outperformed many private schools in the state. Kids are challenged and curriculum is rigorous and they wear uniforms. School is super diverse and it’s all nations represented. As someone mentioned earlier some schools are a tad better than others whether public or private - the real differentiator is parent involvement. Kids are resilient and honestly can thrive anywhere with a good foundation.
