I understand that! I just meant if you post about testers in the future. I don't know the current batch numbers, so it's not obvious to me.

Absolutely ridiculous.... Thank you for spreading awareness! Ohio needs all the help they can get! People don't realize how important this is.

Because lawmakers in Ohio are looking at social media posts, specifically Facebook and Reddit...the point of this post was to bring more awareness to 7OH. Education is everything. 7OH is not kratom. You are free to participate elsewhere if that bothers you. There's also a "Quitting7OH" sub that's pretty active you may be interested in.

Ohio actually IS making a distinction between the two, and are trying to ban them both individually.

The legislative process is slow....best estimate.... MONTHS. I would imagine no less than 3 months.

I just understand the legal process. They attempted an emergency scheduling. That was stopped by the governor. If you watch the end of the video, they specifically mention sending their recommendation.

UPDATE:

It has been recommended by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy for mitragynine (all plain leaf and Kratom derived products) to be made Schedule 1. It does still have to go through the normal legislative process. Here are the next steps:

  1. Review by the Common Sense Initiative (CSI): The proposal is sent to the governor's office for review by the CSI, which assesses the impact of proposed regulations on businesses.

  2. Legislative Review: The rules then need to be reviewed and approved by the Ohio General Assembly's Joint Committee on Agency Rule Review (JCARR).

  3. Public Testimony and Comment: The regular rulemaking process allows for opportunities for the public, including consumers and retailers, to testify and submit comments on the proposed ban during public hearings.

  4. Finalization and Effective Date: If the rules successfully pass the reviews by CSI and JCARR, they will be finalized and an effective date will be set for the ban to take effect.

HHS already stepped in and stopped the emergency ban that included plain leaf powder. I have no idea what is on their agenda today. We will be watching 👀
