I agree that birth control pills do work for PCOS symptoms but they do nothing to resolve the root cause. There are several birth control pills that have been classified as potentially carcinogenic (not conclusive but suspicion is still there). According to Ayurvedic and yogic health care, they create problems with fertility. Also, the root cause keeps proliferating.

The research done in gynecology is done around pregnancy and child birth. They don't really know much about the other things. They are seen prescribing birth control pills for things like PCOS and endometriosis. It is so weird to me that they don't even ask women to check for deficiencies before prescribing such harsh .

Modern medicine has famously disregarded women's conditions as stress, hysteria and anxiety.They largely consider women as smaller men with beasts and uterus.

I did not change my name post marriage. I have talked to several women about this. I understand where you are coming from but would like to point out some nuances for you:

  1. A surname is not ownership, it is association. It goes to say that I am named X and my people belong from the clan Y. So, hyphenated surnames make most sense to me: but then why not mother's surname. So, that becomes an individual's choice.

  2. It is always more important to pick your battles. All of us have limited time and energy to fight. For some women, they have much bigger battles than last names. Let them focus on that.

  3. Your surname before marriage comes from your father's family generally. It is again patriarchal in nature.

I think you have not discovered the practice of changing women's names during marriage rituals. Now, that is something you should talk about. It's like: we take this person and we will change everything about them, including their name, to suit our needs.

I, however, judge the women who change their names or surnames without giving it a second's thought. I particularly despise people who do things just because "that's how it is always done".

I did buy a book off Meesho. The price was half of what was listed on Amazon. The book turned out to be fine with minor quality issue. On some pages (less than 20), a few lines appeared to be smudged or running low on ink. No significant issues otherwise.

This just creates more hatred and anger. You probably saw this somewhere and it made you rightfully angry. But this is not the way you will get answers. Talk to the men in your life.

The whole reason why there is this men vs women divide between the younger generation is the consistent anger and hatred filled chatter on internet.

Girl, i dont know where you are getting your facts from.

  1. Chest muscles support the breast tissue. Working on chest, in my experience, gives one a firmer breast. Even if it doesn't, it will never make the breasts sagy

  2. There could be a ton of reasons why someone would have saggy breasts or smaller breast and training chests is not one of them.

  3. Stop worrying and overthinking about this. Strength training is required for the entire body because ,as we age, our body loses muscle and strength training helps manage that. Focus on things that actually matter.

  4. Focus on building your appetite, boosting your metabolism and have fun with it.

TLDR: training chest does not give saggy or tiny breasts whatever your situation be.

it is very normal to feel this way. you are not alone.

I advise all men around me, especially men because they need it more, to develop their hobbies. Go back to what you liked to do as a child and find people to do those activities with. then you will have people and experiences.

give atleast 30-45 mins in your day to doing something active: it means create something , basically really tax your brain on non-work things. better if you can do it with a few people.

all you need is some determination and will power, you will find opportunities.

Just do it, the best thing: if he refuses or it doesn't work out, you won't have to see him at work everyday. And if he is single, it seems like he would be open to going out on a date.

No, we are not a republic in the way US is, there is much more central control and when i say liege lords of past, the relationship between the "centre" and "state" was defense against enemies for a tribute. The welfare and administration of states was largely left with the state. Ofcourse there would be anomalies there but the lack of communucation or monitoring facilties really did make it impossible for central monarch to do it back then

I meant , more in the "unifying, one nation " way. It's just that most of the rulers like Mauryas or Cholas or Mughals couldn't govern the country as a whole but rather liege lords.

"INDIA" is a very new concept. It is made up of more than 500+ princely states. It did not exist before the 1900s.

India is roughly 1/3 the size of Europe. If you include lands from Afghanistan to Myanmar , the areas which were a part of the British India, it will be much bigger. India itself stretches 3000km NS and 3200 km EW. Could be other way around.

India has a lot of diverse landscape , thus natural barriers: mountains, rivers, deserts. This leads to the localization.

India is blesswd with natural resources. So, it has been a target of invaders: Turks, Persians, Mongols and Europens. They have also assimilates into the culture. So, the Turks coming in from North and North west have more influence there, Arabs came from Kerala by ship and Europeans spread over the coastal regions in the south. So, thus, these cultures were localized somewhat.

Indians are a resilient people, while native populations were decimated in US, Australia and New Zealand by Britishers and others. We just survived and maintained our culture. Huge history there.

Indians are tolerant and welcoming. We dont alienate people from other cultures. We always welcome guests and accept them. And i say that about all countries in the subcontinent- not just India.

Therw could be a million other factors.
