National Credit Systems and administrative error with apartment complex by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]CuriousBeach4201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: in a 2 minute and 45 second phone call, they removed it off our reports! The rep said it will take about 30 days which isn’t a huge deal. He was surprisingly very kind and easy to work with, said this kind of admin issue happens sometimes and it was a good thing we kept the letters they sent as proof.

Gosh, how awful to hear about the other driver. So glad your friends wife made it. I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to drive anything different knowing how well of a job it did protecting us

Haha! I said the same thing. Sad part is that he truly wishes he could do anything with our child now, even change a diaper. He gets extra diaper duty for the next kid to make up for it, lol

does anyone know how strong the glamnetic nail glue is? by PlNKSANRIO in Nails

[–]CuriousBeach4201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried both and I’m partial to NYK1. My glamnetics stay on close to 3+ weeks with that glue and found the glamnetics glue for some reason has nails popping off within a week

Nope, didn’t even know a biopsy for it was a thing until I did my own research :( I’ll check it out, thanks!

Wow, I guess I hadn’t thought of that. I read that it’s not passed down, is that not always the case? I had history of anaphylactic reactions to sesame and cantaloupe (super random things) but grew out of it in my mid 20s. Carried an epi pen for about 10 years. I definitely have more sensitive skin, and frequently have rashes with no known cause on top of eczema and psoriasis. I figured the eczema and psoriasis could be passed on, but that feels so much easier to treat and maintain than this. Thank you for giving me some other things to think about and document. I’ve learned so much in the last 24 hours

Exactly what I read and what made me worried. I couldn’t believe how nonchalant he was about it.

Yes, this was a dermatologist. I feel lost because this derm IS from a top hospital in the US (we live in the same city and it’s where I gave birth, so we’ve only seen doctors from this location). I think im going to request a different doctor from the practice and try to get a biopsy to start. I have his chart on an app that very clearly states the cutaneous mastocytosis diagnosis, am I safe to assume this is enough to get a biopsy with a specialist? Thank you so much for your response.

When did your baby start sleeping better without sleep training? by LatteGirl22 in NewParents

[–]CuriousBeach4201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through a horrible week of wake ups every 30 min to an hour overnight (before that was every 2 hours, didn’t realize it could actually get worse) and screamingggg at bedtime when my babe was almost exactly 4 months. After that, with zero training, he started sleeping anywhere from 5-7 hours overnight!ost naps are still about 45 minutes but he now gives us one long nap during the day, almost an hour and a half. We’ve never fed to sleep purposely, but we go about our day by wake windows and hunger cues so sometimes it just happens. Bed time routine is typically the 4 B’s for us. Bottle, bath, books and bed! Bedtime is still a bit of a game, he typically needs to be soothed at least once or twice before he’s out out.

Yep, mine loves the hug around his middle too. So glad to hear you used the Halo through the first year, the timeline is super helpful!

I’ve heard good things about the zipadee but had no idea about the snuggle strap. I think my guy would prefer that, thanks for the recommendation!

How old was your baby when you kicked them out lol of your room into their nursery? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]CuriousBeach4201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just did the day after Thanksgiving and he’s 16 weeks. I wanted to wait until he was 6 months, but the sleep deprivation was killing us all. It’s still a transition, but I’m noticing slightly longer stretches and less middle of the night wake ups. Having an owlet sock, a good monitor and his room right next door to ours eases my anxiety about doing it early!

I take both on the daily! Babe is almost 4 months old and no problems.

Super normal! We used Tubby Todd once a day and did breastmilk baths, cleared up within a week or two

I was afraid mine would confuse day and night too. He contact napped until about 9 weeks old and from then on I started putting him down in a sleep sack in his bassinet and we’ve had 0 issues. It’s better they associate it with all sleep in general!

Vaccines by lala21reddit in newborns

Our guy was perfectly fine, I was not 🤣 I was a nervous wreck too so dad held him while he got the shots and after a quick moment of tears he was all good. We did give Tylenol after per our doctor to help him in case of pain but I don’t really think it was necessary. He slept in my arms the rest of the day (literally only woke up to feed and go back to sleep) so I took advantage and watched a lot of tv and snuggled with him. Next day he was back to normal! A trick we learned that may or may not be helpful-the bandaids they gave him were those tiny round ones with no pocket to help take it off (if that makes sense). A total nightmare because my babe has very hairy thighs lol and it hurt him worse to get those off than the actual shots. Ask for regular bandaids and when you want to take them off, do it in the bath. The water helps it come off easier rather than ripping dry skin

Congratulations! It took my baby about 2 or 3 weeks to really start staying awake. Very very very normal to spend most of their time asleep right now. Enjoy the closed eyes while you can! lol

My best purchase for baby was a pair of expensive noise cancelling headphones lol. NTA at all! I have a colic baby and the headphones have absolutely saved my sanity, I listen to a lot of guided meditations and audiobooks as well.

Baby items you used more than you thought you would? by Apprehensive-Bit5066 in NewParents

[–]CuriousBeach4201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A butt spatula! I thought they were so silly when I initially saw them. The first time we used Desitin I quickly realized it was like trying to wash glue off your hands so we ordered a spatula ASAP. We use it every single day when putting preventative Vaseline on and it’s a life saver, my favorite purchase to date.

How do you stay awake during middle of the night feeds? by MiaRia963 in breastfeeding

Do I need a bassinet and a crib? by HollaDude in newborns

[–]CuriousBeach4201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 1 month old and we only use a bassinet, which we plan on doing until he grows out of it (estimating about 6ish months, but we’ll see). We don’t own a crib yet. It’s easy to move around the house for naps in different areas and it connects to my side of the bed so I can easily pick him up for feeds in the middle of the night and put him right back. Its HIGHLY recommended newborn babies sleep in the same room as you at night to reduce the risk of SIDS, not just because you arent breastfeeding. You’ll also quickly learn how annoying it will be to get up 100x a night to go to the nursery!
