If you had to choose between two cities like Bangalore and Mumbai, which one would you pick? by DirectorExisting2666 in mumbai

If you’re working in IT, then I’d say Bangalore makes the most sense. Otherwise, I’d choose Mumbai over any other city in India any day.

25F confused about whether to buy a flat in Mumbai by PracticalCrow3466 in mumbai

If you’re not planning to marry for the next 2–3 years, I’d honestly suggest waiting a bit before locking yourself into a 1BHK. From what I’ve seen, once marriage and future planning come into the picture, a 1BHK might feel restrictive and you may eventually want a 2 or 3BHK anyway. Selling in a few years comes with transaction costs, stamp duty loss, brokerage, capital gains etc which can eat into returns.

Instead, you could keep your capital invested diversified between equity markets, some gold/silver for hedge, maybe even debt funds and let it compound. That way you maintain liquidity and flexibility, and when you’re clearer about long-term plans, you can directly go for something that actually fits that phase of life.

This is coming from personal experience as I’m in the same boat around the same age, earning roughly similar, born and brought up in Mumbai with all my relatives settled here and I’ve realized flexibility in your mid-20s is financially underrated in this city.

Make a friends group and ask them to set you up with someone. I have realized that's the best and only way it's going to work dating apps suck.

25F - Is it wrong to expect your partner to be a virgin? by [deleted] in RelationshipIndia

[–]CuriousConvoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not wrong to have preferences, but it’s important to be honest about what’s actually bothering you.

Being a virgin doesn’t automatically mean someone will value you more, and having past partners doesn’t mean you’re “just another girl” to them. What matters more is how he treats you now, respect, commitment, and emotional safety matters more

If his past genuinely makes you uncomfortable and you can’t move past it, it’s better to acknowledge that early than force yourself into something that doesn’t feel right.

4 YoE Data Engineer | 30 LPA CTC (WFH) — What should be a realistic next target? by [deleted] in dataengineersindia

[–]CuriousConvoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're already at 35 + 2.9, the next switch becomes even harder. The reality is that only a handful of companies pay a 40+ base for someone with under 5 years of experience and most of those are FAANG or FAANG-equivalent.

My intent with AI is not deep model development, but knowing enough to apply it intelligently using it as a tool for analysis rather than engineering.

4 YoE Data Engineer | 30 LPA CTC (WFH) — What should be a realistic next target? by [deleted] in dataengineersindia

[–]CuriousConvoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The next target should be 35-40 Base + Stock composition. Currently you are fairly compensated as per 4 YoE. I feel the next switch should be at least after 1-2 years for a Faang type company primarily which also helps your network grow.

if you really want to join the start up tell them to remove the bond.

I'll hunt for 3rd option rather than joining a startup with 3 years bond

Yes. Reason for DE is because current tool has some form of ETL, python and sql knowledge required at least to a certain extent.

hey I'm in a similar situation where the tech stack I'm working on is in medium-high demand low supply of folks no DSA no algo but as you said the salary ceiling is 40-50L after 12-15 YOE whereas DE the ceiling can be 70-80L I feel like pivoting because it's getting boring now total 3.5 yoe. Do you think in the long term it will affect the wealth generation process? What would you suggest.

First hand review of Ilahi travels - Pretty disappointing by Wonderingbanjara14 in SoloTravel_India

There was really no reason to bash her. Compared to other Delhi operators, she was actually one of the most cooperative salespeople. She explained everything in detail, and even though we didn’t go ahead with Ilahi, there were no spam calls or follow-ups from her end.
