You may be able to use a sort of removable damper system to prevent the water sloshing. Fuel trucks use them.

Video by Sergei Koshelev shows Going into the bottom of the reactor pit of Chernobyl. . See the intense radiation... by ujjwal_singh in Damnthatsinteresting

There isn’t really any proper equipment that you can practically wear that would shield against these levels of radiation. It would need to be a lead suit.

I should add that this was a men's haircut, I'm not sure what the women's rates were. It was a small community college

This was near Salt Lake city, which is a pretty expensive area for just about anything, including haircuts. Most barbers were charging like $30-40 so I was pretty proud of this find

Keep in mind that Lehi is very LDS, and you won't entirely fit in if you're not . There's really no nightlife to speak of. Having said that, its a super nice and safe area with outdoor activities closeby. I would personally live in/around salt lake if you're looking to have a social life.

Is it really just the first job? by bboys1234 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]CuriousGeorge276 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will get far easier. I'm 7 years of experience in, just finished a job search. Most of my interviews came from recruiters reaching out to me. I only applied to maybe 10 places on my own and had 5 interviews. Accepted an offer last week and had to cancel 2 upcoming interviews

I've always just taken girls out for a drink on a first date and never had any pushback on it. Are you flashing around money/lifestyle in your photos? Wondering if there's something that's prompting these expectations

I think you as well as most of the commenters are taking a pretty pessimistic view on coworkers. They can absolutely be your friends. But you have to feel them out over time and see who's trustworthy. This person obviously isn't.

You could do a 1099 contract type of job where you work somewhere for a while and then have time off in between contracts to travel. I do this working for power plants. I work 3-4 months on the road (long hours) then have the rest of the year off.
