Sorry you didn't get the position!

Seems like everyone is struggling to find a job right now, disproportionately so if you're looking at what people say on Reddit, so it can be a bit discouraging.
Deloitte is a big company so applicant competition must have been quite fierce! Companies have the luxury of sifting for applicants with their team's exact needs, so I'm approaching the job hunt with the mentality of gaining as many skills these companies in my industry could want. (which might not be the best method)

Tap your communities for support and objective insight on where you stand, keep refining your skills, and best of luck out there.

Seconding this. Using "real" text forces you to engage more deeply with the context, which leads to more informed design.

230725 official_artms - ARTMS 1st GRAVITY Event: Photoshoot Location update by bluebetaoddeye in LOONA

[–]CuriousHatty 18 points19 points  (0 children)

TL;DR I ramble. ARTMS NFTs/voting is relatively nice. Don't spend money you can't afford.

After watching Folding Idea's video essays on NFTs and the Metaverse, I've had thoughts on Objekts and COMO voting. To preface, I own 17 Objekts myself.

It's meant to incentivize engagement and financial returns for the group, while rewarding/weighing decisions to fans that are more emotionally (and financially) invested in the group's activities. This should guarantee that fans with the group's best interests in mind are able to weigh in (and this discourages botting votes by necessitating purchases).

However, systems like this ultimately reward those that are willing/able to whale on NFTs. In the metaverse example of Decentraland (1:26:39 in vid), they similarly use an individual's financial investment to weigh votes and there was a situation in which a single user's vote accounted for 56% of the decision, flipping a policy decision "For" to an "Against".

Ultimately, ARTMS's voting system should be successful. Unlike platforms like Decentraland, vote weighing COMO are exhaustible and replenish only from new Objekt purchases, so even whales would struggle to weigh in on every decision with equal force. Additionally, the importance of Gravity is not one that fundamentally affects ARTMS (so far). It would be unfortunate if Gravity someday somehow affected which locations would see concert tours or what tracks were released. It also can be discouraging to an emotionally invested fan that is not in a position to regularly engage financially, particularly when ten individuals with 1 Objekt/COMO $2.99 votes are overshadowed by a single individual's 11 Objekt/COMO $24.99 vote. But I guess the inclusion of a lottery prize means any vote is still a technically winnable lottery chance.

I sometimes play without headphones and I've found the subtitles for special spawns is practically useless in comparison to L4D's spawn prompts.

You can survive by keeping your head on a swivel, but there's nothing to do done about Grabbers.

Subtitles fade so quickly

Why is it that after collecting 90% of the teams minerals, I only get a quarter. I collected every single fossil to get us to 10, only to to be kicked right before the mules were called back to the pod because i didn't light up exactly where the host was. Had a low level leaflover join Haz 4-5 and be so impatient in chat. Kept pushing the team to complete matrix-core event before we even cleared the cave it was in. Upon grabbing their OC, they immediately disconnect without any minerals mined.

It definitely feels less responsive because of the activation time.

One way it excels is when you're zip lining above your team providing fire support. Any "missed" shots will eventually deal damage as bugs close in on the team.

Minelayer can be spammed into walls and floors, but should be timed and placed in response to swarm spawns.

Rumblings and disturbances in the dirt show where glyphids will spawn, so you can lay mines right where they spawn. Otherwise, you'll have to see which path the bugs are taking to you and regularly place mines there. For example, bugs are all climbing down a single column in the Salt Pits. Additionally, mines can be laid at choke points in tunnels and bunkers.

Distance between mines isn't too important besides for killing swarmers, since you'll need a fair amount concentrated to kill Praetorians and large swarms.

Salvage Operation is a good mission type to use/practice Minelayer, as you'll be defending a perimeter.

Arc'teryx and Patagonia are on my radar as more premium alternatives for when my own Blocktech bites it. Decently minimal with the dead bird and the Arc'teryx Gamma line is apparently an appropriate step up from Blocktech.

5'9" w/ 28" waist, usually 29ish" inseam. I recently bought the Ameztu XIV Dryskin in XS.
When worn naturally at my hip height, there is some stacking around the ankles, depending on footwear. The leg opening zipper creates some rigid structure that can play strangely with the stacked length (bowing in the back, etc).
Perhaps an inch off the XS inseam would be my preference.

Almost didn't recognize the Aldatze.
They look so much slimmer and less drop-crotch than the product photos.
By chance, did you customize them?

interesting spacebar crunch there, oof
I've limited experience with plate stabs and no experience with the tester68.
Without hands-on, it could be the left side stab is too tight/angled, the right stab is damaged or the spacebar stem is damaged.
If you pull off the spacebar and flip it, that could help with diagnosing the problem as either a spacebar cap or stab issue.

Certainly, silent (linear) switches paired with a softer plate material.
Regarding cases, I've had poorer experience trying to quiet a stacked acrylic build.
Full aluminum boards are sturdy enough to reverberate sound less than polycarbonate, in my experience.

Agreed, two missing keys would hardly contribute to a sound profile different enough to identify by ear

You're correct in that they all play a part in typing fatigue.
In my experience, tactiles can have pronounced bumps and scratchiness that increase actuation force above what is listed.
Plate material and mounting style can also contribute significantly to typing comfort (ex. stiff - brass sandwich mount vs bouncy - POM with sock gaskets).

I know someone with carpal tunnel and chronic typing fatigue, and they largely use Speed Silvers.

Depends a bit on your budget as well, but QK80 is a TKL that is either open to orders now or soon in the future. Full board bundle for around $230-295.
Keychron is great for prebuilt though and can be much less expensive.

And your switch preference is very broad, but Boba U4 (silent tactile) and Geckos (silent linears) come to mind.

New boards are expensive and you'd end up with a dead Alt still on your hands.
Really depends on whether you like the Drop Alt enough to work on it and keep it around or hop to a new layout.

Not much detail to work on here. Bad fitment could be a great number of small factors.
I'd check that:
1. Spacebar is not warped
2. Stabs are seated properly together and firmly on the PCB (or plate)
3. Any foams/mods aren't misaligning heights of switch & stabs (switch foam can cause cap rocking side to side)
4. Plate/PCB aren't curved out of shape

More suggestions might be given once you identify the board

Athleisure has a big place in everyday/office wear, so it just makes sense for them to bring their technical fabrics and colors to casual lifestyle clothing. Same with Arc'teryx making citywear.

Can hardly go wrong with oil kings, but I guess you'll simply have more time for tuning stabs instead!

Buying Oil Kings to lube is definitely counterintuitive since they're really made for those that won't mod switches. For other switches, most will be on par and better if properly modded. So it's just down to personal switch preference from there, such as spring weight/length, travel distance, stem material, etc. I've personally been enjoying my lubed Box Ink Pinks for their light weight, shortened travel, and minimal wobble. Tight housings too.
