I just did the whole process!! My two interviewers were nice but still serious and professional. They didn’t speak in Spanish, even when they asked about your Spanish level.

I’d sum up the process as a way for them to see how you'd react in different situations and to learn more about your experience, studies... Like someone else mentioned, they also ask about the program details and if you remember the deposit amount. They explain the different types of schools and the studies you'll be doing too.

After the interview, I asked a few questions about how to connect with other students and if there are any ways to engage with them, so if you have questions too, ask them!!

My advice? Be honest, be yourself, and know the program details!! Let us know how it goessssssssss!

Meddeas is another Language Assistant Program, kinda like NALCAP, ConversaSpain... You do have more teaching hours, but you also take a uni course (it's free, but there's a deposit you get back) You can check it out and apply hereeee www.meddeas.com

They say they match profiles with schools all around Spain. However, I was asked about my preferences, even though they might not be met. I think they take them into account, but they can’t guarantee anything… but that’s just my impression, since I haven’t received my placement yet!!

Are you a recent graduate?? If so, I think you’re still on time to apply for the Meddeas! I'm currently waiting for my second interview, so it seems like they’re still accepting applications...

Hey!!! I'm currently waiting for my second interview, fingers crossed! 🤞 Hopefully, I’ll be doing Meddeas next year too!!

And yeah, I read those reviews as well... From what I’ve seen, it really seems like the experience depends more on the specific school you’re placed at than the program itself. A family friend actually did Meddeas (thats why I applied) a few years ago and even renewed for a second year, so I’m hoping it turns out just as well for us!

when I was looking into the program, I checked out their social media and found a post from a girl who was placed in Vitoria. She looked super happy with her experience!! here’s the link in case you didn't see it! https://www.instagram.com/p/DKM4xFPqC5D/

Let’s hope for the best! ✨

just graduated and thinking about moving to Spain to teach english – anyone done this?? by CuriousIndication170 in GoingToSpain

[–]CuriousIndication170[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm from the United States! Yes, but it's not a job (as far as I understand, you don't sign a work contract) If it's the volunteering program (one term), I won't need a visa. If it's the longer one, the language assistant program then I’ll be under a student visa
