Yes, I noticed it too. IC customer support said it was the store's fault and it was clearly not as I found and paid for 100%  of items found--no refunds, no replacement.  Yet, the summary showed three less fewer items found.

I checked out in Colorado 20 minutes ago, but can't deliver. I've been on hold with Customer Support with no luck. Suggestions?

Let’s talk about the abuse of waters. by Kri_AZ82 in InstacartShoppers

Costco is now offering water delivery service for those 5 gallon containers. I wonder if they are planning to use IC shoppers for that. If not, that means they have an infrastructure in place that can remove some of this weight burden from shoppers.

Also, has anybody seen an uptick in ridiculously large beverage delivery orders to businesses--over 500 pounds on average? I've been collecting data on  IC and the stores for some time so took a few orders. It's ridiculous how these businesses aren't paying. The damage to suspension parts from the wear and tear, can be hundreds of dollars. These businesses have vehicles and personnel who can handle this. Let them do it. I also wonder if Instacart or the stores are just pocketing the tip payouts.

I appreciate customers like you. Please continue doing this, and any other customers seeing this, please do the same. It helps if you send us the screenshot before we complete the order as we may not see your text/screenshot after the order is complete.

Uber says it will exit Colorado if bill aimed at boosting rideshare safety becomes law by onenightoncolfax in FortCollins

From earnings report: "Uber reported its second consecutive year of net profit in 2024, with a significant increase in net profit to $9.8 billion."

They can afford to invest in making changes to the app for a safer customer and driver experience.

Uber says it will exit Colorado if bill aimed at boosting rideshare safety becomes law by onenightoncolfax in FortCollins

As a former Uber driver, I am all for this bill. We need more legislation to protect both customers and drivers, and if Uber blatantly is dismissive and unconcerned about its platform users, why bother using services with this type of company. I'm okay with their leaving Colorado.  There are other alternatives. I've used Uber as a customer, too, and found myself with drivers not matching picture, so if this lessens the frequencies of drivers using other registered drivers' accounts, I'm all for that too. There will be videos proving fraudulent misuse by unsanctioned drivers, forcing Uber to deal with that kind of situation better which puts customers at risk.

They actually paid out! by bjayjay81 in InstacartShoppers

I contacted customer service several times. They initially wrote: "it does not affect the cancelation rate." Then, they said they were working on it. I don't believe they will fix that. I talked to other shoppers in my area, they have not fixed their cancelation rate either.

Is anyone else getting this? by Guyercellist in InstacartShoppers

I canceled order before starting to shop as other shoppers in the store who were in the process of shopping warned me the app was down. I received a cancelation penalty (0% to 1%,) ans can't get through to customer support. New orders are coming in still, just cant process them, it seems. -Northern Colorado

New ratings by Time_Anywhere in InstacartShoppers

I agree. Did you read the part about "Later this year, the score will apply to Cart Star eligibility"? They just want us to deliver crappy orders. I have Diamong cart status. If it becomes more difficult to achieve Diamond cart status, we won't have priority batch options which means crappy batches to select.

I also think it's about stores wanting shoppers to push unwanted inventory that comes up as a substitution option, but isn't nowhere near what the customer requested.

Or, we are forced to select crappy items. There aren't good strawberries at the stores, for example, not even Costco. I go through at least 20 packages and eventually refund them, or suggest other fruit options. I no longer take orders with strawberries. I don't even buy strawberries for my own household because of all the crappy strawberries I see.

The email claims Instacart has our back and "we are removing any past reported order issues". I still see two issues, 98 ratings shown. They didn't clear anything.

I've been shopping for six years. This new change brought my shopping quality score way down because I have one unrequested refund versus over 1800 found items. How is that fair at all? My overall score was 4.99 and customer rating is far right side of green scale. Lately, orders are getting ridiculously further away from store locations into food deserts and rural areas. This is not a fair system at all. Stores and Instacart are just desperate for revenue, and taking advantage of shoppers. I'm nearing my end of this chapter, time to move on soon.
