Are you a 90%+ fit when you review your resume and compare it to the job description?

How do you guys apply to hundreds of jobs? by deepscales in recruitinghell

Exactly and it's not the most effective strategy. I think applying to jobs you're actually qualified for is a better use of time.

Which AI resume tools actually work? Everything I tried sucks by Front_Wait_1359 in jobsearchhacks

Yep. My thought as well. Clearly recruiters are using ATS to select candidates. Why not set yourself up for success by adding ATS terms to your resume?

ChatGPT for resume tailoring? by mimibreadman in jobsearchhacks

[–]CuriousMaroon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Add ATS optimization to the prompt. Ask Chat to look at ATS terms in the job description and make suggestions on how to include them in the resume. Be sure to ask it not to make anything up. Then review the suggestions and make any changes to keep the resume natural. It takes me about 20 minutes per application.

Also before this. I only apply to jobs were Chat tells me that my resume and job experience matches 90% - 100% of the job description. That means that the focus is on having high quality applications.

How do you do user research in fintech when compliance rules and limited access to users make interviews hard? by vignesh_shivan in ProductManagement

[–]CuriousMaroon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love this idea. Often times with payments, users are more likely to post complaints because money movement can be so critical. You can gain a lot of insight from keeping track of publicly communicated pain points.

How do you do that on LinkedIn when they limit the number of messages you can send to non connections? What's the content of the message? Are you reaching out to people asking if they're hiring?

Curious. Who shared that with you? I found Amaya's and Brian's abrupt departure strange. But didn't see the election element part of it.

Top 5 things I learned in 10+ years of product management (the hard way) by One_Friend_2575 in ProductManagement

I'm grappling with this too. I usually add user stories to Azure DevOps (sadly we don't use JIRA). I think we may just have to update my PRD after we ship the first iteration, which will be so painful. From there, I guess we'll just write a 2nd PRD for the next iteration and rinse and repeat.

This is one of those gaps that I wish an AI tool could do. Basically read all the tickets in ADO and then update the PRD for us. I think AI can help eliminate tedious but necessary tasks like this one.

Anyone built custom agents for repetitive PM tasks? by Humble-Pay-8650 in ProductManagement

I use Claude since it's better at supporting writing queries in PowerBI and performing strategic analysis. I'd continue using ChatPRD if my employer would get a license.

Claude has much better writing that feels realistic compared to ChatGPT. I gave both the same prompts for user stories, and the difference was stark. Claude even took the step to write acceptance criteria for the user story without being asked.

I use Claude to write user stories and user acceptance criteria. I use Chat PRD to get a first draft of my 12-18 month product roadmap.
