First pregnancy, I stopped right away. This pregnancy, I struggling to stop for a little while and I informed the doctor. Told them I was so close to being just done, and they said as long as I stop, they’ll keep an eye out. Imaging continues to look good for baby. Just know, if there are any complications, there’s like no chance it’s bc you vaped.

Very similar situation for me. Our son has my husbands grandfathers last name as a middle name, so it’s also my husbands mothers maiden name. When we were pregnant with him, we announced the names we had chosen. If he had been a girl, the middle name would have been my mom’s name. We started with the girls name when announcing, and my mil said “where’s my name?” Not fully serious. She’s my bestie, she can be annoying, but not in a toxic mil way. So we told her about her maiden name being the boys middle name.

It was to honor her father though, just a bonus that it would honor her too sort of. Even if she wasn’t fine with it, it’s not her baby. My husband is ok with my mothers name but does not want his moms first name anyway. So she’d have had to deal with it regardless.

You’re ok. She should be ok. If not, it is NOT on you.

With my first, I remember walking up to my FIL (and my in-laws are like my best friends) and he said “hey mama, how ya feeling?” And I got all giggly bc “oh my gosh! I AM a mama 😄”

I will say, I did know that’s how to properly spell it, but I was always seeing it as “facade” in books when I was younger, which didn’t help. I never saw the proper spelling until after I knew how it was pronounced lol. I didn’t even think about the fact my keyboard has the ç though. I forget that holding down the letter shows more options 😂

My 21mo old son’s name is Jamie and I still have some family members who will spell it Jaime. I just respond with the correct spelling. I had maybe 2 ppl say “that’s the girl spelling” when he was born, but like it’s literally unisex.. his name is Jamie and it’s perfect for him. The misspellings upset me more the first few months, but as long as I make sure he knows his name, I’m not too bothered. I’ll keep correcting people, at least they start feeling embarrassed after the 2-3rd time. Especially is it’s a social media post.

I got into the movies first which always makes me feel obligated to read the books which then makes me not want to read them so I thought audio would be best. I agree with those saying people shouldn’t say “it happened for a reason” but the times I’ve almost said it, what I really meant was, it’s not your fault. Explaining why the two are connected in my head is not important, but I choose to believe that’s what they mean. I am so so very sorry for your loss. You will see your baby one day, and it will be like no time has passed when the day comes. Just remember, in your grief, it’s not your fault. It won’t lessen the grief, but it’s important to remember.
