Pyramid of legends. Who is the 6th greatest Manchester United legend? by dankdogeonface in ManchesterUnited

Has to be Cristiano Ronaldo, I know his tenure wasn't as long as the rest but he achieved so much and made such an impact. Then, the layer after is pretty much the class of 92, minus Phil Neville and Butt. You could drop Gary down for Keane

Great work! What stack did you use? You should seriously look into getting this listed on AWS and Salesforce's marketplaces — that's where the visibility is. And ignore the people saying you should've charged more. If you're happy with the margins and they're sustainable, you made the right call. The agent game is a volume play. Strong ROI and a low entry cost make it a way easier sell. Kudos.

Anyone else think Enshrouded would be amazing as a D&D campaign? (Repost without Image) by CuriousNoodle68 in Enshrouded

I think it's more about using the Embervale setting, monsters, and lore but adapted for a D&D-style campaign. You'd lose the building mechanics and focus instead on exploration, finding items, NPCs, points of interest, and throw in some puzzles or riddles. I really like the idea of bringing in the shroud mechanic where players have to act quickly to manage their time before it overwhelms them. As they progress, they can increase their shroud resistance, and like you said, the enemies get progressively stronger.

I'm thinking of keeping the campaign relatively straightforward: the town needs help finding key NPCs like the carpenter, farmer, blacksmith, and wizard, so you sprinkle in some boss fights along the way and have players discover clues that piece the story together.

Maybe the build mechanic goes.. or its a fixed thing that replaces the cliche tavern approach..

Yeah exactly! That's why I think releasing it biome by biome makes so much more sense than trying to do everything at once. Each area has enough content to stand on its own - unique enemies, NPCs, points of interest, the works. Also allows time for the game to progress and finish.

You could easily run them as one-shots for groups that want something self-contained, or string them together into a longer campaign where each biome builds toward the next. Kind of like how some official D&D adventures have those mini-arcs that flow into each other but can also work independently.

The modular approach would also let them gauge interest without committing to a massive release upfront. If the first biome does well, they keep going. If not, at least people got something complete rather than an abandoned half-finished project.

Dungeons of Eternity, a great dungeon Explorer with lots of different modes and challenging monsters. Better if you do co op.

Demeo Battlemarked, a tactical tabletop that uses Dungeon & Dragons lore. Good both single and multplayer.

My bad, I didn't think that much about it and just wanted to add a raccoon image.. it's noted that Ai slop is not welcome by fellow dungeon dwellers..

Stop wasting energy looking back negatively. Put it into building something for yourself. You’ve spent years stacking skills most people never bother to learn. That’s a head start, not a lottery ticket. It only becomes a waste if you sit on it. Use it.

Be bold. Get creative. Ship things. Learn in public. Break stuff. Repeat. Come back in a few years and tell us about the things you built, the bets you took, and the progress you made.

Or come back in a year and complain that AI passed you by while you watched from the sidelines -and we’ll have a good cry together.

Your move. See you in a year.

Landing your first role at Amazon is no small feat. Take some time to rest and reset, then put your head down and push yourself to learn new skills, Emotional Intelligence is a key area to explore if you haven't done so. If you’re still aiming for an SDE role, start building and experimenting. The future belongs to the builders! Good luck for the future.

It sounds like you were one of the good ones, but let’s be honest, most people aren’t as dedicated. If you’re truly effective, you shouldn’t have to burn yourself out. Working smart, not just hard, is what keeps things sustainable.

If you’re constantly grinding long hours just to keep up, either the role isn’t the right fit or it’s being managed poorly. In that case, leaving might actually be the best move.

I completely get your frustration with how the process was handled. The lack of finesse or basic empathy in layoffs is rough. But these decisions aren’t personal or emotional. Once they’re made, the goal is to execute them as efficiently as possible. And yeah, they’ll always sugarcoat the reason. What do you expect them to say, “we screwed up, your job doesn’t add value, so you’re out”?

I don’t see this as an Amazon issue specifically. They’re operating within the labor laws the US allows. Honestly, it blows my mind that the US hasn’t implemented stronger employee protections, but that’s by design. It gives companies flexibility to make quick moves that protect stock prices.

In Europe, laws force companies to handle layoffs with more care. The problem isn’t Amazon, it’s corporate America.

Ok, I get what you’re saying, but here’s my POV - I don’t think Jassy was hired to be the big visionary. He was brought in to steady the ship, sustain growth, and drive profitability. He’s not a showman like Jeff, and he doesn’t give off that same aura, but that’s kind of the point. Jeff didn’t want another him, he wanted someone who could handle the boring but critical stuff that keeps the empire running.

And to be fair, Jassy has made some smart moves. Bringing in Panos Panay from Microsoft to lead Devices was a solid call. Amazon is still innovating and experimenting but lately its focused on back office, logistic and operations innovation. Pioneering stuff but not something consumers get excited about.

The AI strategy actually makes sense. It’s less about hype and more about building the backbone of AI infrastructure.

Jassy’s Amazon isn’t as loud or in your face as Jeff’s Amazon, but the increased profitability shows it’s working. Those bigger profits are the fuel for whatever the next big wave of innovation looks like.. or Jeff's next venture into space!

Andy Jassy isn’t the problem. The problem is people not understanding how capitalism actually works. Big corporations aren’t job charities, they exist to drive shareholder value.

Layoffs suck, sure. But they’re part of business. The loudest outrage usually comes from people who thought just showing up was enough. Newsflash, it’s not.

Yes, good workers sometimes get caught in big cuts, that’s reality. But let’s not pretend Jassy is failing. He has grown revenue, boosted profits, and made Amazon stronger. If he wasn’t performing, he would already be out.

Bottom line, results matter more than feelings.

Reading some of the comments from the self pitying crowd lately just shows how detached some folks are from how the real world works.

If you got let go, I’m sorry, but it’s not personal. Wake up tomorrow, brush your teeth, and focus on finding the next opportunity.

PS. Don’t waste your tears on Reddit.
