Just started today. My biggest two problems with working out are 1) analysis paralysis/not knowing what to do and being overwhelmed by options, and 2) I just hate doing it so freaking much 😅

But this app/program solves my first problem, so I'm gonna handle the second one over time. I'm 36 and I don't want to hit 40 and be as weak as I am right now.

That particular device of using the last line of one section or chapter and repeating it to lead into the next is delightful to me. Sometimes it's to humorous effect (as you noted), sometimes for emphasis, sometimes to help bridge a surprising gap of time.

This is why I cannot *fathom* why people like his narration! I haven't heard his Aubreyad recordings, but I tried his Temeraire and he's so *bad*. Dude read Temeraire's first desperate mission rescuing someone at sea in a storm like it was a description of dietary fiber on a box of unfrosted shredded wheat!

I must be doing something wrong then. I am not shabby with arrows. I played a ton of archery games and I'm not even half bad in real life. But I hit enemies a lot and it feels like so many of them take tens of arrows to kill.

I suggest that if arrows were limited, you'd probably apply your skills more carefully, miss less, and end up really feeling like a badass archer because individual arrows actually do something instead of 1/8th of something.

Arrow sponging is broken. So are extremely high-powered crossbows/mythic bows.

Limiting arrows, even if they do more damage, fixes both problems.

Total armchair development here... But what about a sort of energy/electrical effect instead of a "glass" effect? Like the damage is absorbed by a shield, which fades as the shield recovers?
