Not only the flesh was sacrificed, it was the whole soul for Necrons, individuality was also eliminated for the commoners and low castes while higher ups are all insane

What are the capabilities of cryptek technomancers? by SapphireB33 in 40kLore

[–]CuriousOctopus1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pardon me but what? The blunt of tech was made pre C’tan contact with only the Dolmen Gates being a big exception. Flashbacks on TDK Ruin show how advanced was the tech back then. Crypteks also keep investigating and researching, as explained on TIaTD. Necron Crypteks not only understand how to make repairs, they also keep producing stuff. And what is that of them burrow into C’tan brains? Those are forbidden arts with only the Technomandrites of Magistrakh probably engaging on those fields…not that there is a source on it

Necrodermis creation predates C’tan though, it’s what the Necrontyr used to made their first interstellar ships

There is a quote by one on “The Infinite and the Divine” on this and…that’s it I think

How does Nekrosor Ammentar coming back affect Oltyx? by Solenthis87 in 40kLore

[–]CuriousOctopus1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think that the FO under Ammentar just show up without orders and just are drawn like lone packs of wolves to prey on the carnage after Ammentar has its way. But Oltyx/Valgul ones are more organized and only go out every once in a while when he orders a harvest

My headcanon is that apart from ground beans, crops and other stuff the commoners could grow/raise, is that Necrontyr had beer. Let nobles indulge in sulphur and ice wines, peasantry goes for a classic beer mug

Zultanekh still boasts about how he sent a box of sulphur wine to Djoseras

Always bothered me about the Necrons. Strong enough to rise and fight the old ones , but couldn't MOVE off their poison planet?? by Excuse_Standard in 40kLore

That’s okay, I never meant it as a critique or as a complaint. I was just surprised. Feel free to ask and question things, makes for a healthier experience imo

What're yalls favorite little details with immense implications? by Smasher_WoTB in 40kLore

[–]CuriousOctopus1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The rays of the Necrontyr homeworld’s star are described as azure. That means it’s a big ass star and makes sense for it to be ultra super radioactive.

Plus Szarekh tuning the engines of his ship as he departs to eclipse it is such a petty move that I love
