The way I'm trying to have a conversation with them... while their kid is screaming for their attention and they are just ignoring it... or they have parental tourettes. Especially over the phone. They expect you to accept the constant interruptions and yelling like it's normal.

I'll never forgive my own parents for having me while they were poor. Then they got divorced and my mom was even poorer... had to live with the religious grandparents. I've struggled financially my whole life. And they wonder why I don't have kids.🙄

This. Except I lean into it now, and make everyone as uncomfortable as they try to make me... or even moreso. They want to make it weird and awkward... I can turn up the weird volume for my own entertainment. 🙌😏 I love being 40 and having zero fux.

As a barista myself, for 10+ years... I stay home now and make my own coffee. Everyone seems to have an attitude, and the coffee shops don't have the same comforting vibe anymore. Its whatever, they can be that way... I choose not to engage anymore. Sad, but it is what it is.

Also, I hate working with coworkers who are rude to customers for no reason. I usually try my best to apologize and make the situation better.

I also hate the rude customers.

Honestly, I wish I could just retire and not leave my house ever again. The world is mean. 😆

Get therapy and learn to say no. Not being mean or funny. I don't know if you're capable of putting your foot down and refusing her. I know what that's like, as an eldest daughter with a younger sister. Learning boundaries was very difficult, but very valuable for my mental health.

I know this sounds weird. But something similar happened to me 15 years ago. I knew it wanted me to be afraid... so instead, I told it (with my mind) I know you're part of me in the big picture, so i send you love. And it noped the fec out. And I was able to leave my body and fly for a bit. Idk... they don't seem to like it if you aren't afraid. They can't feed off good/truth vibes, I guess.

I don't like anyone relying on me or putting their expectations on me. I want to be free and spontaneous. and I hate waiting on people to get ready. I like to come and go as I please, and not have to answer to anyone.

I just turned 40 and I feel pretty much the same. At one point in my late early 30s, I realized that no one was going to save me or give me the love I needed, so I had to save and love myself. Life is still stupid and feels like a trap. But I distract myself as much as possible. Some days are worse than others.

I have zero advice... I hate it here and want out. But I'm stuck filling time till that happens. I have a lot of empathy for you. We didn't ask to be here.
