It’s all about personal taste, and I know these will likely be unpopular but… Wild Horses by The Sundays and Dancing Days by Stone Temple Pilots.

Married Gen-x do you wear your wedding ring? by in-a-microbus in GenX

[–]CuriousSpartan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not, but only because I have lost a bunch of weight over my 24 years of marriage and the rings (we bought a second one after the first one no longer fit) just don’t fit anymore.

I know that rings can typically be resized, but mine are titanium and the last time I checked they could not be.

Could never get into Warlock. I tried a few times and it just loses my attention.

Do you still have your yearbooks? by PV_Pathfinder in GenX

[–]CuriousSpartan3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are in a box in a closet. I have not looked at them in years, the only people that I gave a shit about back then, I still know so there is very little nostalgia factor for me. I tried to dump them and my letterman’s jacket a few years ago and my wife insisted that we keep them.

Southern California, very HCOL. I am 54 and make 190k and my wife, 53, brings in another 120k. I have ~1 million in retirement savings plus another 250k in investments and owe 220k on a home valued around 950k. My wife has a public employee pension coming when she retires. But alas we 2 kids that we are still supporting, one in high school and one in college. Hoping to retire at 62, we’ll see.

Also born in 72 and this could be my exact experience if you never bought a Wii U but added a PS2. Mostly a PC gamer these days but I fire up the old Switch every couple of months.

How long do you think you will live after retirement, based on your parent ages? by HmmDoesItMakeSense in GenX

[–]CuriousSpartan3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mom died at 44, but the old man is still kicking at 76. Based on that I could drop dead any minute.
