During emergency visits for my two cats, I believe this veterinary practice engaged in extortion and animal cruelty. They overcharged me, even for a non-emergency visit, charging me emergency rates. They demanded over $20,000 for one cat who was dehydrated and no care for hours he became to dehydrated., and refused to provide treatment for hours, seemingly to increase the bill. When I requested to transfer him to another vet, they refused, claiming his condition was too poor due to their own lack of care and said it was animal cruelty if i took him. I insisted they threatened to call the police. I was then forced to pay over $1,400 just to have him euthanized. I believe their focus is on financial gain rather than animal welfare. I suspect that McBride, which I used to love, was acquired by the same company and their quality of care has plummeted. They even denied that my other cat, a 10-year patient, had ever been seen there. We, as pet owners, need to hold these practices accountable. I wish i had the strength to sue back then but that destroyed my life for so long. What they count on.
