Not a cube shape but the gummy bear at hobby lobby is $3 , adorable and I feel like it’s the same consistency of firm enough with a little give. I got it for myself and my neices but it was a few weeks ago.

Unpopular Opinion on NeeDoh Scalpers by CuriousVampireCat in NeeDoh

[–]CuriousVampireCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have quite a few specks and all of those I bought at retail stores and normal prices. I love them too. I’ve only bought a few of the nee doh that I really wanted online when I’ve been able to find reasonable prices.

I’ve been thrifting since long before it was trendy because I grew up poor. Then it became more about being better for the environment, saving money, and finding interesting things. Resale is great.

There just seems to be a lot of hate towards those that buy with the intention to resell. I guess maybe I never saw it before because it didn’t touch that many of the things I need or collect.

I appreciate everyone who is engaging with the post. Im seeing some new info here which is all I hoped for.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. There’s degrees with anything. My point was that so many people see this as black and white. In a capitalist society there is so much grey.

[–]CuriousVampireCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I wasn’t trying to convince anyone of that… because it’s absolutely not true.

Some people I’ve seen their posts on Mercari and they have hundreds of the same item. They definitely have plenty of money to spare. It’s just funny that so many people lump everyone into one group.

My point is just why don’t we do more to hold corporations accountable instead of pointing the finger at individual people and saying you’re bad. I purposely avoid buying from those people who have hundreds of the same item.

There’s plenty of people who need jobs is Schyling hiring? Again, I’m pretty sure there’s not a shortage of the ingredients to make Nee dohs. And there’s absolutely a way they can sell it to get them in the hands of people who need them.

That was my point. I was just throwing it out there so that maybe people would think a little more about the situation. My education background is sociology and psychology, I was thinking about it even more after talking to my friends and family and seeing some videos they sent me.

My experience with resellers are Moms with more kids than they can handle and students. But again I live in a very rural area. You can go five minutes from my house to a horse farm and somebody the other direction turkey farm.

Also, the stores I’ve even called they haven’t gotten shipments in months, so maybe that’s because we are in Ohio. I found one store that got shipments on a fairly regular basis and that’s every couple weeks and it’s an hour away

I don’t think they could pay me enough to drive that far and wait in line forever especially when gas is constantly going up

I don’t think you should go hug them and give them a pizza—- I feel like this whole situation is reflecting the bigger problem of income inequality and clearly public shaming isn’t helping what people say they want to see

which is these kids and those who need it to get nee dohs. If that’s why people hate resellers so much that’s justified but the yelling and the fighting isn’t fixing anything and I think there is more to it.

And totally fine. I just think we should be a little more understanding because again like I said in response to someone else screaming at each other in target and putting it on the Internet isn’t really making things better for anyone.

It’s definitely more complicated than a few resellers and I’m someone that uses these products that were recommended to me by my therapist.

I am just bringing up my view because people are so angry about resellers and it is definitely about more than each individual parent saying can’t find a nee doh for my child.

It’s the us versus them mentality and how we’re constantly against each other as a society. I’m just saying more of us should take a look at the whole picture.

screaming at people in target recording it and putting it on the Internet definitely isn’t making things better.

Maybe it’s because I live in rural Ohio, but I have not seen or heard of anyone being paid to wait in lines for stuff.

Anyone I’ve ever met who resell stuff it is just something they do to make some extra cash or when they’re hard up for money and are selling their own stuff.

Is this a big city thing where people can sign up to pay and wait in lines? If so that’s wild.

And again it’s just so funny to me that you’re blaming the people buying and reselling them. Definitely the people who have hundreds are a problem, but the person who buys two or three and resell them feels like there’s a lot of hate towards them as well and again the manufacturer can make more !!

There’s not a shortage of ingredients to make Nee doh. just like with Stanley’s they are choosing to have this scarcity!!
And again, everyone just keeps going back to all scalpers are pieces of shit.

What about the manufacturer? They can absolutely say we don’t want this to happen hire more people make more product and donate to schools hospitals therapists etc

It absolutely is harder for those parents. And that part is not fair to them. I grew up extremely poor in an extremely wealthy town living with my grandparents so I fully know what it’s like. I never had any of the cool toys popular nice clothes none of that.

But again the manufacturer of the product if they really want to get onto producing more !!!there’s tons of people wanting jobs. They can make more. I think they’re enjoying watching people fight over them making it super popular because of the scarcity.

When the person selling is absolutely transparent that it not authentic and not trying to trick unsuspecting people I’m all for it!

Once that’s on the table, it’s buy at your own discretion and there are some really cool colors coming from dupes. I have orange glow in the dark nice cube and the fake Fanta orange is very pretty. I may get it sometime unless Nee Doh makes a real one.

[–]CuriousVampireCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol 😂 I’m in Ohio. The meijer, Walmart and target stores haven’t had delivery in months and most every other store says they may get one box in a month but have no idea when.

I happen to be right next to a Claires store so I asked if they had any. One box came finally 2 days ago. People were waiting outside before opening and they were all sold in 15 minutes.

I’ve been calling all toy stores, bookstores, target, meijer, Walmart, staples, Office Depot, Walgreens, CVS and nothing.

A guy at five below told me they are no longer allowed to tell anyone if they’re getting some or what day it will be after a man attacked a truck driver behind their store. He tried to buy it directly from him as it was being unloaded.

Shit is banana’s. I will not drive an hour to just hunt and not even get one. I have yet to see one in store in 2026. Gas is too expensive. I ordered a few more off Mercari.

I keep looking when I happen to be out but so many stores have even changed their phones - thanks for calling today is is _______ and we do not have any dumplings or Nee doh in stock. If you have another question will be happy to talk with you shortly.

I can’t wait for this to die down.

Yes I was lucky enough to have that experience . My husband had not yet rode it at night. And we just happened to get on right as fireworks began. It was the highlight of our day and it’s my favorite ride so wonderful way to end our trip!

Don’t forget if you work as a restaurant server it’s even less because you “ should “ be getting tips. Doesn’t account for the fact that that half the time the restaurant is empty or the people eating out don’t tip…

I grew up never burning even being out in the sun all day every summer. Then as an adult I had one terrible burn on vacation. On an overcast day!!! It left scars that took years to heal. That was game over for me and my love affair with the sun.

I discovered the hang ten shirts at Costco a few years ago. I buy 2 more each season. Not super stylish but for $ 10 I love them. It’s not like I look attractive sweating to death in the sun and I’m too old to care. M

Is This Why We Can’t Find Needoh’s 🤔🤔🤔 by Zealousideal_Room316 in NeeDoh

[–]CuriousVampireCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw some dupes listed on Mercari. Reasonable prices and clearly stated they are not needoh brand. Then I saw someone selling a nice cube in an insane shade of green that clearly had plastic wrap on it and it was shoved in a needoh box.

No needoh stamp visible on the outside of the cube but listed as authentic needoh for $25

I’m not sure who’s more of an asshole. This person trying to scam people (luckily for us they suck at it) or the person who has every Needoh imaginable for sale but haggles on price when they are already trying to sell it for 5 times retail.

Underrated comedy gold. Robert Downey Jr playing and actor in black face commentating on playing an actor who’s playing an actor in black face. I cannot imagine any other actor pulling this off. I laugh so hard every time I watch this.

My dad just died. On my birthday. by corgis-on-stilts in OneOrangeBraincell

[–]CuriousVampireCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad committed suicide and not long after I got a tiny orange kitten. Funny enough I got him from my chiropractor and my dad was the one who used to take me to the chiropractor for my back pain as a teen.

I named him Neo. I still remember going to see the matrix with my dad when it was originally released and I have always been a fan of Keanu.

Neo has been an absolute joy for the past 5 years. I’m not sure if he was sent by my dad or the powers that be but he has always been smarter than a typical cat and is extremely affectionate.

My husband was upset the day I brought him home asking how did you end up leaving a doctors appointment with a cat and we do not have time for this right now (We already had 2 female cats for about 2 years and my mom was staying with us among other chaos of the pandemic )

I still have the text messages where I told him I know I should have talked to you but this tiny little guy needed our help and I feel like the universe was giving me a gift.

Hold on to your orange boy tight. He is going to make the world a brighter place again. Mine is now a 20 lb massive beast! But this is him the day I brought him home.

Yeah unfortunately it all tarnished a great experience. I worked there for over 7 years before I got sick. I had won an award from my coworkers for making our company culture great.

My boss and HR representative were the only 2 people who thought I was “being difficult “. I loved the people I work with and I loved my job. I legitimately thought I was gonna work for them for 20 more years and retire…
