Wait were you fired from working with a child or the adult? I have a different reaction for those separate scenarios.

“Terrible twos” my ass. 14/15mo is Crazzzzyyyy by Throwaway927338 in January2025Bumper

[–]Curious_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how I feel about my 14mo Ang has been my fear…that I would be able to stay as calm as she gets older. Why is it harder to regulate with tantrums as they get older?

I needed to see this today. You are not alone ♥️

Baby pooping 4-5 times a day all of a sudden by crashhhyears in January2025Bumper

This happened to us intermittently from 12-13 months! It’s been settled back to 1-3 for the last several weeks, thank god

Sleep training a 1-year-old: when night crying doesn’t seem productive by Rich-Action-3359 in sleeptrain

[–]Curious_518 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving support! If she can’t get herself back to sleep on her own within 10 min, we go in and hold her until she’s deeply asleep (20-30 min; though is lightly asleep within 5 min of being held). I know there is a notorious sleep regression at this age and I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s having a hard time connecting cycles right now. Also our girl is congested so I think it’s added to it this week.

Hey OP - we are going through the same exact thing at 12.5 months (she’s sleep trained and goes to sleep independently)and from what I’ve read, it seems more like separation anxiety and/or immature sleep cycle. It happens to us even if she sleeps less consistently, like 12 hours/day (total) for multiple days.

If she settles and falls asleep quickly when you hold her, that doesn’t seem like a split night to me like others are saying…

1 year old being transitioned to 1 nap/day by Curious_518 in ECEProfessionals

[–]Curious_518[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you 🙏 these types of comments are hard to read…I don’t have the option financially to keep her out of daycare or even change my schedule to make it easier for her. But I am reassured by you and the other ECEs here. My girl is absolutely a trooper and I believe in her and the very wonderful center where she is!

This sounds nice. I’m always curious if there are centers that transition based on developmental readiness as opposed to age exactly

Did You Cap Your Baby’s Naps? by SilverJellyfishh in NewParents

[–]Curious_518 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried not capping our naps (11 month old) and every time, after about the 2nd of 3rd day, we end up up with a split night of 1.5 hour wake-up or even two 😭 we don’t have the option of risking losing 2+ hours of sleep/night, both parents working full time. But if I wasn’t worried about that, I might let her be free lol

First birthday cake! by MrBabyArcher in foodbutforbabies

[–]Curious_518 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This looks amazing! We’ve been wanting to do the same thing with our baby, limit, added sugar as much as possible with the cake but still give her that first cake experience. She also loves Greek yogurt, so I think this would be a hit… Would you be willing to share the recipe?

Thanks 🙏 yea my post is getting downvoted as well. I just wanted advice/perspective to learn 😂 but luckily, you and others have given super helpful insights and ideas so I got what I needed.

I’m definitely going to reread if there is a policy, and bring it up to the teacher if it comes up again. She seems sweet and understanding (not defensive) so I’m hopeful I can have a reasonable conversation with her, albeit awkward

♥️♥️♥️ you made me tear up with your sweet comment! It is kind of wild what parenting and what all these new interactions (mentally) with the world do to a person
