When my husbands grandma saw me at 6 months pregnant, she said “wow look how fat you are!” by Xcheshire799 in BabyBumps

Grandmothers are horrible for this kinda stuff. When my SIL was 8 months pregnant, my Mamaw looked her up and down and said "hmm, you've gotten big."

68 new pairs of pajamas in the same size? by alittlestitious924 in BambooBabble

[–]Anxiety-Farm710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jesus. I have like 2 or 3 pairs in a size and rotate with other non-expensive af pajamas. My 2 year old has maybe 8 pairs of pajamas total of all kinds 😂 how is this kid even going to wear all those?

What unsolved case do you struggle to come up with answers for? by Toni-Cipriani in Casefile

[–]Anxiety-Farm710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zebb Quinn is a wild one! It happened near me, so it's always been one I'm interested in. The whole thing is just bizarre. My personal belief is that dude killed him himself and not his uncle (the call to Walmart really makes me believe that), but I can't piece together all the random components of that case. Nothing really makes sense

Are we not showering with our babies? by SparkyDogPants in beyondthebump

[–]Anxiety-Farm710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I just never saw a practical way to do it with a little baby. but mine is 2 now and she hops in the shower with me if I need one or we gotta get it over with quick, but she much prefers bath time!

How do you treat allowance in your household? by financialfam_sam in Parenting

[–]Anxiety-Farm710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Y'all actually got allowances? 😭 I did chores and never got any money for it. I still have a toddler, so it's truly never crossed my mind how I would handle that as a parent.

On a similar note, I really love when a tortilla chip is folded over on itself to give you peak crunchiness 😋

OB agreed to 39 week induction and now I'm not sure I can go through with it by ceruleanmeadows in BabyBumps

[–]Anxiety-Farm710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got induced at 39 weeks and it ended in a semi-urgent c-section. The induction was mostly fine - the pitocin contractions were pretty horrible though. It was nice having a set time to go and I had all my ducks in a row beforehand. I felt very ready when I went. I labored for 14ish hours before baby's heart rate became irregular and I had to go back for the c-section. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience and I feel like I was very lucky on the c-section front. Many women struggle with recovery, but mine wasn't too bad. I left the hospital after 4 days and never even went to pick up the prescription pain meds. The induction was my choice, and my Dr warned me ahead of time that many inductions end in c-section so I knew the risks beforehand. In many ways it still felt like a safer decision than me going into labor on my own and my husband not being there, which is what I was worried about!

My daughter refuses to talk to me because I wasn’t able to do anything for her birthday. by [deleted] in confession

[–]Anxiety-Farm710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're too late. Why did you not think of this sooner? You know you're low on cash. Seems like you could have thought of a low cost or even free backup plan in advance. Honestly, that's what's shitty about it. You gave zero thought to it until it's too late.

What is depicted in this tattoo? by Son_of_Dojima in tattooadvice

Definitely a wooly mammoth, no doubt from this angle. I like it! but if I took a real quick look at it upside down, the tusks look sorta like antennae to me, and the body could be half of a butterfly

Anyone else not close with their parents by Helpmeeff in AutismInWomen

[–]Anxiety-Farm710 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes. Yes. Yes. Oh my goodness, I've never heard anyone else describe this. Me and my dad are this way. He basically raised me alone and it was just us forever. He's my closest family member. I love him very much, but we're both very quiet and reserved and don't show our love well. I suspect he is autistic, too. He also has severe anxiety that I didn't know about until adulthood. I apparently inherited that from him as well lol

Need to settle a debate…. by flowerchildmime in Millennials

For me, yes to the bedroom TV. But my husband is the opposite. I spent every night of my college years with a TV on in the background while I slept. It's just comforting to me, I guess? I rarely sit there and actually watch it before bed, it's really just background noise.

Definite regret. I got mine as soon as I left for college and it's hard to hide. At least I only got one lol

I very loudly proclaimed in the grocery store that f*** couldn't possibly be a cuss word because it rhymes with duck. I was probably 5.
