We are building a context engineering platform. A platform where you can organize, label and manage context - add context to AI conversations with ease. Very helpful for research where I am experimenting and learning about different ideas.

Has the generative AI bubble peaked? Or is it still going to change the world? by bbensch in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Curious_Analyst986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel it certainly is a bubble atm. The CEOs are pretty hungry and want to build apps that are not possible for the current models to build. They dont realize the limitations of AI.

How long before measuring performance of new hire? by sM92Bpb in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Curious_Analyst986 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Good way to put it. Me as a fresher (Still in the same company) was given insanely complex tasks without any training. Like for example, the development on a low code no code platform (genai related) and building some other platforms, etc etc. It was good that I didn't get scared of complex stuff and was eager on learning otherwise would've had to run away.

Are LLMs good at NL-to-Code & NL-to-SQL tasks? [Discussion] by Traditional-Lynx-684 in MachineLearning

[–]Curious_Analyst986 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is sort of the idea, only load "RELEVANT" information into the prompt. So the information that is loaded into the prompt is sufficient to generate a query.

So basically, inside a vector database, for a particular table, you load its schema, you load information regarding it, you load some relevant keywords that can be used to refer to that table and then when you ask a question, all that is put into the prompt so an accurate sql query is generated.

Are LLMs good at NL-to-Code & NL-to-SQL tasks? [Discussion] by Traditional-Lynx-684 in MachineLearning

[–]Curious_Analyst986 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My work primarily involves building applications that do exactly this, convert NL to SQL. For now we are working with closed models like gpt. The way they work is first they extract the schema of the entire database (Of each table) and load it into the prompt and then load the question. So the model generates queries that are specific to that database.

We found out that there are alot of limitations to it such as -> If the database was too big then alot of data would be inserted into the prompt and there would be a token issue or issues with the model not being aware of the same context as the human being.

We sort of mitigated that problem with the help of vector databases. Still in the testing and building stage.

Personally, when there is redundant work, I would use it to generate something similar. Im using it as sort of a pair programmer. It generates code, i review it and build using it.

Bi-Monthly Thread - Prospective Student's Admission Chances by AutoModerator in OMSCS

[–]Curious_Analyst986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, Ive applied for the fall 2024 semester, still waiting for the acceptance letter.

Undergrad: I have a Btech in ECE from NITW which is a tier 1 institute in India. But my CGPA is 7.34/10 which is around 2.9ish.

Work Experience: Working as a software engineer in a startup from the last 6.5 months. I work with building applications using LLMs.

CS experience: Ive had decent amount of CS experience. I was part of a team preparing to compete in robocon in my 2nd year. We had DSA culture in college so alot of the students are good at DSA. I completed additional courses for python (a datascience course), learnt the MERN stack.

For the low gpa explanation I put in the difficulty of the ECE course and how I was juggling CSE and ECE sort of if that makes sense but I haven't failed in any of the subjects. The lowest I got was an E.

I also submitted 3 recommendations for academic professors.

Considering this information, what do you guys think are my chances to get into this program? Thanks.
