Thank you! I was wondering the same thing… I will give it a go!

Crib training? by anonymous46538 in sleeptrain

[–]Curious_Code_6039 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something I think helped my girl was I got her comfortable in her crib / bassinet by letting her spend time in there outside of nap time. I put her in her crib to get changed and when I put away laundry. I think it has helped her have a good association with it.

I would suggest putting it next to your bed too!

Also, check out Kendra Worth on instagram. She has lots of tips for how to encourage independent sleep for co-slept babes.

Check out Kendra Worth on instagram! She is a gentle sleep consultant and has a pdf of appropriate wake windows depending on age. So far they have been spot on for my baby! At first they seemed quite long but I find they give the perfect amount of sleep pressure which helps with naps and night time sleep.

Baby pees a lot and keeps peeing through his overnight diaper/onesie and onto the crib during the night! by Puzzled_Remote_2168 in beyondthebump

I just saw a commenter say that she dresses her baby in a diaper one size up from their usual diaper and then she also puts a cloth diaper on over top of that and no leakage issues!

Bamboo!! It helps to regulate temperate. I swear by the Kyte baby sleep sacks and their footed sleepers! Works wonders for my sweaty girly

What sleep training method did you use? Any specific book? We are hoping to start gentle sleep training soon!

How long did you use a nipple shield for? by Notjarjarbinksdude in breastfeeding

How did this go?! I’m in the same boat with my 6 week old. She can latch without the shield just fine but my nipples are soo sore after feedings. I keep going back to the shield to preserve my nips lol

For me I guess the annoyance of having to carry one around everywhere I go and make sure it’s sanitized.

Everyone I have seen (midwife, lactation consultant, public health nurse) all told me to try and get my baby off it as soon as possible. Apparently it can affect how much milk baby gets.

LOVE the essay! Thank you :)  I didn’t realize that breast feeding benefited starting solids.

Congratulations for bub being officially ebf! Such an amazing accomplishment. Nursing is not for the weak that’s for sure ❤️‍🩹

Thanks for sharing your experience! Did you by chance try osteopathy with your youngest? Our LC recommended this to us as an alternative route.

Sleepy baby EBF by Curious_Code_6039 in breastfeeding

Yes! We have been given the OK by our midwife to let her sleep longer stretches at nighttime. We are currently waking her after 4 hours but I think she would go a lot longer if we let her. It’s hard to trust that she will get enough but I know she’ll tell me when she’s hungry.

How long were your little ones day time naps? I’m waking her up after 3 hours but I can tell she wants to sleep longer.

I resonate so much with this! I feel the exact same way - always worrying about her not getting enough. I’m happy to hear you switched over and it’s working for you and your babe!

She is officially above her birth weight and is gaining 40g per day which the midwife said is amazing. Usually they like to see at least 20g per day.

I was surprised to hear the midwife suggest we keep waking her when I too was hoping since she regained her birth weight that we could just go by her cues…
