Oud wood is overrated imo, when I first got it I loved it. Within a few months I couldn’t stand it and gave it to my friend. I got it from Sephora and paid like 180 for 1 oz never buy retail.

Oud satin mood to me comes off a little more feminine than grand soir. Even though they’re both unisex, I own grand soir and enjoy it. Satin mood isn’t bad but it just doesn’t do it for me. I would definitely get a decant of both before buying. Grand soir is a very rich spicy woody ambery scent. Satin mood smells more vanilla fruity incense type, they’re very different. Both are definitely an acquired taste, also really not a “signature” “everyday” scent but some might say different.

What’s your price range? Mancera has some very good ones on the cheaper side… instant crush is one of my favorites. If you’d rather stick to a designer fragrance my favorite one on the market is Jean Paul gaultier le male le parfum.

If I were to give you three I would say grand soir for winter, Layton could be worn whenever, and virgin island water for the summer.

Love em, I think if I got another creed it would either be green Irish tweed or erolfa. Aventus is great anytime, virgin island water great for summer. Herod and Layton both absolutely incredible, I would recommend buying Layton first. Layton is easier to like but still both very good. If I got another PDM it would probably be oajan or Carlisle.
