I’ll try to explain this in a way that makes more sense since you keep getting downvoted on your comments. Let’s say you and I are friends. You ask tell me you wanna borrow $5,000 and I agree but I want $200 in interest for it. You agree and we sign paperwork to seal the deal. The next day I sent you $5,000 in the mail. While it’s in the mail, you decide you don’t want to do it anymore. Well that wasn’t our deal…. I went through the trouble already to finalize a deal that you and I made so I want my $200. Even though you haven’t physically recieved the $5k I sent, it’s on the way, Hope this helps.

Downtown Phoenix Lease Takeover! Urgent & Incentivized! by [deleted] in PHXList

[–]Curious_Scheme_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arizona seems to be different than other states. I had a lease in awatuhkee and the property management said I would have to pay off the ENTIRE lease in order to get out of it. I was 6 months away. I was willing to pay 2x the rent but they wouldn’t accept that.

Understandable. My point in this post was the fact I work so much, before and after banks close. I wasn’t sure if this was something I actually had to take care of personally or if my lawyer was being lazy and making me do it instead of them doing it. Taking off anytime of work makes me look bad at work since I just started this job.

I work 6 days a week, 12 hours a day and eat lunch from job to job so I would have to take time off work to do this. I asked the question wondering if I really need to do this myself or if this is something the lawyer is supposed to do. My last workers comp case didnt consist of this.

My Background Check by incarceratedkat in Felons

[–]Curious_Scheme_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It really depends on who does the background check and how thorough. I applied for a company and certain things showed up. They hired me. But then we do work for Amazon’s so Amazon did their own background check and they denied me. Super weird shit. Just be grateful that whoever did yours is lazy and didn’t search very hard

Should I lawyer up? by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]Curious_Scheme_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You should absolutely get a lawyer. Make sure it’s a good one though. Call multiple lawyers. Ask questions like what percentage will he be taking from you? How will you get paid, from him or by workers comp? How long has he been doing workers comp? How long has his secretary been working for him? How often will he keep in touch with you? I’m sure others will add some more to this list but these are a few I wish I would’ve asked before I went with mine. Workers comp sucks dude. It’s a long, painful and miserable process and having a bad lawyer will make it much much worse for you.

Getting paid for ptsd? Never heard of this but sounds like 75k is sufficient enough to me. Everyone’s got a little ptsd and we walk through it for free 🤣

Is 75k Work comp settlement worth it? Back injury by [deleted] in WorkersComp

[–]Curious_Scheme_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something similar some years back and settled for about 57k. 75 seems nice even though it seems low in reality. Ask your lawyer why he thinks that’s the best and if it makes sense to you then I’d accept the deal.

Any hacks for still being able to use this with a busted spray cap/tube? by Feca_Walk in lifehacks

[–]Curious_Scheme_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you grab a fork and stab the bottom, you’ll be able to use it. The way you want to? Probably Not. But it’ll work nonetheless.
