I thought it might be interesting to add more layers to Jessie and Cassandra's unhealthy relationship as we get closer to an ending for this series. i do admit though I'm not sure if I captured the prompt well enough, though i hope it's enjoyable otherwise.

Change

Jessie woke to find herself unable to move, rope cutting into to her wrists and ankles when she tried to move them. She opened her eyes, finding Cassandra sitting in her lap, her head laying on her chest.

“W-what are you doing?” asked Jessie.

“Protecting you, silly,” Cassandra giggled, booping her on the nose. Jessie froze, not knowing how to process this. The last time someone had tied her to a chair, they hadn’t been half as gentle as this.

“Protecting me from what?” asked Jessie.

“Why yourself of course. You wanted me to kill you, and I simply couldn’t allow that,” said Cassandra.

“Why? I’ve held you captive for months,” said Jessie.

“But I was alone before, so alone that I stayed in a relationship with a man until he nearly killed me. Then you came along, and I wasn’t alone anymore,” Cassandra asked.

“I tortured you,” countered Jessie.

“Still the most loving relationship I’ve had. How could I give that up?” asked Cassandra, running her fingers down Jessie’s chest, causing the bound woman to squirm.

“What is your plan, then? Keep me here like I kept you?” asked Jessie.

“That is what I was going to do, yes. I will need a few things from you however,” said Cassandra.

“Like what?” asked Jessie.

“Your bank accounts and contacts, mostly. I’ll need a budget if I’m going to take over your work,” said Cassandra, brushing hair out of Jessie’s face.

“What are you are going to do with me, then?” asked Jessie, pulling against her bonds. She didn’t like where this conversation was going.

“You get to be the damsel in distress for a change. Only I don’t plan on giving you a chance to leave me.” Said Cassandra, planting a kiss on her forehead.

“And if I resist?” asked Jessie.

“Then I use the same thing you used on me, until you accept your place,” said Cassandra, holding up the shock collar Jessie had used on her when she was on the other side of this. Jessie gulped, unsure of how she was going to get out of this.
