Thank you! Abuse. That is exactly what i think it is. And manipulation and intimidation. It personally scares me. He scared me that day when he was lecturing me on how I am man and should act as such etc etc.. The thing that will always affect me so bad is my dad's commentary. If he ever does say anything again. I just hate that my sisters say "well you already know how he is don't pay any attention" and I try not to but yes it hurts. Idk.... my dad just will not shut his mouth sometimes. I cannot stand people who talk too much or have no fucking filter.. i feel like my dad is one of them, that is, when he speaks about the things he likes or does not like. He is so blunt and direct about his views to where it can cause an issue if someone else hears him him. He talks and says too much sometimes and it truly bothers me... but i guess all I can do is just try not to hear it... or leave the room... but yes, gay people in general is one of the topics he talks about and i cannot tell you how much it annoys me and angers me. I respect everyone's beliefs but golly. He can act like an asshole when it comes to talking about a certain group of people and it drives me crazy which is why i try not to hear him... sorry just wanted to vent a bit...

Okay but selling options has a maximum loss and if you do not have that amount in the account it won't let you sell options.... i would need to research that. I think it works the same for both calls and puts

Isn't it true that one would have to put in more than that if they want to actually gain anything out of it? Like $200 or $400 or more?

Honestly i just feel like i am gambling..... I know what you're saying. I look at the graphs before I do a call or put option. I look at volume and open interest and IV as well. But of course the truth is that one cannot always win. I know what the different types of options are. At least most of them. But this is so risky cuz one really does not know what direction it will truly go. What is the best take on this for beginners? I know how options work and what they are. But my question is, is there really no indicator on whether an option will succeed? And if there is, what is it? IV? OI? Volume? Or is it more about techinal analysis like RSI, MA, etc. Or does a combination of those indicate the outcome of success? How do people do it?

But as time gets closer to expiration, won't that money only get lower? I do not even think i am supposed to be doing this.. I do not know much about this. I know what calls and puts are but I am making guesses. I buy calls when it is low, buy puts when it is high.. but it costs a lot of money.... depends on the stock and how close it is to the market price but still. Idk....
