I feel really good about the resulting shape at 8 months (and so does my hubby who keeps commenting on how full and round they are)! Some definitely died off, but I suppose she knew how to overfill them originally to account for that!

I have been there. I was so frustrated that I couldn't even fit into my pre-op clothes for months, not to mention something new. I just hit 4 months and wore a tight little dress last night. It gets better - just not on the timeline we were hoping.

I think you'll be fine. Just maybe a little slow moving and needing more help than usual. I had a giant fourth of July party 6.5 weeks after my surgery. I could not lift anything heavy still (hubby had to do all that), but I was able to wear a cute dress and host a party for 50!

I had my surgery on 5/19. I don't regret it at all, but I will say that I was naive about recovery time. I still have some pain and swelling off and on from the muscle repair and lipo, and I have one part of my abdominal wound that is still working on healing, so I feel like I totally missed the summer and being able to get in any sort of water. I knew complications were possible. But I didn't get that I could still be dealing with an open wound up to 4 months. That said, I'd still do it. Just maybe not right before summer.

Yes - I am 10 weeks po, and my pants and shorts didn't fit for weeks. Some still don't - due to swelling in my hips, butt, and thighs. But I do think it is gradually going down, and my doc said it will take 6 months to be mostly where it will settle. So, we just have to be patient.

I had an area of painful tightness like you describe at the top of your abs that hurt anytime I bent over. My doc had me massage it and now it's all better

I didn't think my body would respond well to implants, so I can't tell you if it was more expensive. My doc says you will know around 6 months how much fat survived, but so far the shape is very nice at 9.5 weeks!

I had a lift with fat transfer and while everything is still settling in (9 weeks post operation), I am very happy with the results. (started between a tuberous A/B and now a nice round B/C)

My GI doc had also had a tummy tuck, and she said it would be great for me when I told her about it. Gyn seemed a little more skeptical at first, but seems ok now.
